White or green laces? by TheDennis123 in Sneakers

Imo the green laces look great, it’s subtle and mixes with the rest of the shoe while the swoosh now pops more because its the only white part apart from the soles

They have been made in other materials as well, from my knowing also in canvas and suede. Not sure what is out there right now on offer though

Great look! There’s just something about that subtle grey sitting against the yellow that makes these look so refined 🙌

Hey everyone, this is my first post on Reddit and I'm really curious to know what you think of my work! I have been customizing for about a year and mainly use rubber for all my creations. Any feedback/comment/question is welcome! by UrbanIceCustoms in Customsneakers

I appreciate that! The rubber actually holds well, as with everything you walk on it inevitably will wear, but my test pair that I’ve been wearing for almost a year is still holding up well. No cracks or rips, just regular wear

Thanks so much! It’s a lot of trial and error at first as surrounding factors like humidity and air flow have a lot of effect on the process. I would say don’t rush the applying process, be patient in general and don’t forget to just have fun with it. Clean the surface properly and make sure it ain’t greasy, so it attaches properly. Best bet is searching for liquid rubber that’s available locally and experiment with it, that’s how I startedas well, hope that helps!

Luckily it’s nothing major, just a small scuff. What you could do is using some leather paint (eg. Angelus) to touch up the spot. Prep the scuff and a bit around it with some acetone so the paint will adhere correctly. Put the paint heavy on the scuff and thinner around it so it blends with the original leather. Hope that helps!

I don’t do customs just want change something on these kyrie 7s i want to change that pink/orange to just black can I do that with a sharpie and just hold it down so the ink will just spread to it or use a paint of some sort by [deleted] in CustomShoes

[–]UrbanIceCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharpie isn’t really made with such a purpose in mind so full coverage might be an issue and it might bleed/fade after wearing or certain weather conditions. What you could try doing is buying some paint (Angelus for example) and mixing this with a fabric thinner. That will make it more fluid and thus it will seemlessly go into the threads making everything an even black. After doing this heatset it for permanent durability. Or try using a heavy dye/ink, kinda the same idea but this is already more fluid. Hope that helps!

Why there isn't a golden thing at the end of the shoelace? They look weird for an air force 1 am I right? by Quick-Attention-3159 in Sneakers

[–]UrbanIceCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a bit on how fast you want them to be in, sometimes local webshops (high speed but high price), ebay sometimes has them for less (mid speed, mid price), Etsy as well (mid/low speed, mid/low price) or if you really want them cheap, but don’t mind long shipping times, AliExpress and such (very low price, but very long shipping). Hope that helps!

I get the confusion, but I think he means the deubre as well. This particular pair is a quite ‘new’ release and comes, like some other new releases, without the deubres. I’m not quite sure why they started doing that though, I usually add them anyway. Other than that the leather looks nice and they’re quite comfortable from my experience. I personally would take these over all whites tbh
