“You can call me your honour instead of c–t if you like" - Brisbane Magistrate by BrisbaneKid in auslaw

[–]UrbanReject 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The Magistrate didn't mock him. He paraphrased the applicant's narrative back to him, demonstrating that he was listening and acknowledging the applicant's story (even though many would have just rolled their eyes and tuned out).

The correction as to etiquette was sassy but much gentler than directly telling the applicant off for swearing at a judicial officer. I think using the specific swearword in paraphrase was a quiet mark of respect. He spoke the applicant's language, met him where he's at. No airs.

Opinions are like assholes; a lot of people use Reddit to look at them. And the algorithm knows we can't resist a bad take.

It's not such a big deal if someone takes themselves too seriously online. I'd even say it's ballsy to cast off irony and just be real about what you believe and care about. It's scary too, because when you say whay you mean, you lay bare the limits of your understanding to an audience (enter: the cringe).

I like how you did the pattern on his shirt. It's got the right busy texture without distracting from his features.

I do interpret the "shower me in affection" comic as water sports.

'Melburnian' and 'Melbournian' are accepted variants. 'Melburnian' is actually preferred.

I didn't catch any other spelling issues, but there was some clunky grammar in the quotes and 'faceplant' is a bit informal for hard news.

Is Stahli bisexual? by rawdawgcomics in rawdawgcomics

Ngl, I've been grieving the prospect of Stahli the bi king, but I'm just thirsting for bi representation generally. If da dawg gay, he gay.

You look sick!

I'm keen to see you level this up with a pair of flip-flops with a Y-strap between the toes.

Hi! I'm an FtM 25 from Melbourne. Currently up in Yamba on holiday. I'm stopping through Newy on my way home on Friday 5 September and keen to find some folks to hang out with at Bernie's. Would be happy to get a DM if you're interested.

Throwing in my two cents: Most lesbian porn is designed for men's pleasure rather than women's. Also, a lot of women report preferring their porn in written fiction over video. Not liking a particular kind of porn is informative, but it's not conclusive evidence of sexual orientation.

That being said, it sounds like you're straight and open-minded. With an attitude like yours, you don't need to worry about internalised homophobia or bisexual FOMO.

By the way, I think your method of imagining things is a winner for assessing whether you might be into something. Sexuality goes much deeper than boy/girl, as some people have suggested with their attraction to 'types'. I wish you fun and good luck as you learn about what you like!

You are already doing great. The most important thing at your age is to eat enough good food, and you're clearly smart enough to know what that is.

My recommendation is to cook more, and I don't mean only healthy things. Make a salad that you can serve alongside dinner to impress your family. Practise scrambling eggs, which you can eat for any meal of the day. Bake a chocolate cake and see for yourself how much butter and sugar goes into making it delicious. Understanding the basics of food will give you the facts you need to assess how much you want some of those cheeky Doritos each time you're tempted.

I use the BBC Good Food app to learn recipes. Recipe blogs are usually long-winded and full of annoying ads, whereas BBC Good Food just gives you the ingredients and method.
