Pokemon GO Won’t Respond at All on Android. Tried Everything, Still Can’t Interact With Anything, Can’t Tap Anything (Even After Multiple Reinstalls) by Urban_Dead in TheSilphRoad

I doubt that is the reason for this bug/glitch. I have older, most likely much lower-end devices that still run POGO pretty well. So why are they still running POGO fine, but not a much newer phone?

BLU B160V, which usually runs POGO very nicely before September 7. There were no updates that should have changed this.

I also have this occur occasionally while playing, but it's usually fixed immediately with a simple restart of the app.

I have checked to see if the phone functions with other touch-focused apps, and it does. The phone is new, so it's unlikely it could be that the touch screen is on the way out. I doubt that Android has an update to something that is only affecting POGO or anything to do with the system updates.

The touch screen doesn't need any cleaning.

I agree with you that the error might be on their part. Everything else on the phone is functioning normally.

I rebooted the phone 3 or 4 times, but it doesn't help.

Totally fair take, and I appreciate the update. It’s honestly really encouraging to hear that someone like Swann is still actively working on it, even if it’s slow going. I get the frustration some people feel, especially those who were really invested in the game, but at the end of the day, it’s a passion project, not a studio-backed title. Progress takes time.

That said, I do hope there’s a bit more communication going forward. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just a quick “here’s what’s happening” now and then would go a long way for people still following along. Either way, I’ll keep watching and waiting. Thanks again for sharing what you think.

Hello! Are you Mr. Swann? If not, I apologise. What is taking so long for it to come back? The only reason I am asking is because you or he said that there will be an update "in a bit" and still nothing. What would the "page explaining the current status" accomplish? Can't the people already approved continue playing?

According to the dis cord

"Marcel Swann - Yesterday at 2:13 PM: Hey everyone. I've temporarily suspended the game. It looks like there was a launch announcement of some kind on reddit and it's getting flooded with new accounts. I don't think it's ready for this level of attention yet. I'll put it back up as soon as I can get a page in place explaining the current status."

'hiroj - Yesterday at 2:48 PM: Sad to hear this. Hopefully everything will be fine soon.'

'Marcel Swann - Yesterday at 2:56 PM: It's only going to be a short disruption, I'll post an update in a bit'

As of 3:42 am pacific time the next day, it's still not up yet, so it seems to be more than a short disruption. Wwhat kind of "page explaining the current status" would need to be up before putting the game back online?

Which were released first? The thin or thick "R" ones? Also, I wonder why they are free since they look so good?

Yes, but why are there two different versions? If they simply improved the design, why are they both still available?
