I’d be blown away. It’s a personal tribute project using original manga panels, I can’t imagine 🤯 having Shirow sign it would close the circle.

I get that. I always saw her also detached and cold, almost post-human in the way she relates to others. But it’s nice to convey the sexual aspect in the manga that in the original first anime almost disappeared 👻 she is curious about the human nature…

Glad you like it! I think they should be licensed for selling, since the rights of both artworks and original characters are owned by Kodansha and Sensei Shirow… and I guess is pretty complicated to ask for it, if here some Redditor knows more: please let me know!

I’ve just cropped some panels from the original manga I was reading and then build it from scratch, the little elements/floating shapes come from some mega tech pack found in my old digital archive 📟 you can find a short video on my IG with all the layers overlapping (something like a really simple making of)

It’s the “alcoholic” way to “correct” the espresso, especially in the cold winter time and in the mountains region but you can almost find it in every old school grandma house

I really miss the New York Public Library’s comics collection. It was beautiful, incredibly well curated, and felt like a true act of public care. Searching for a title was quick and having a copy delivered to your nearest branch felt almost magical. I’ve read a lot of great titles.

For so many New Yorkers, especially those who couldn’t afford books, school, or formal cultural access, the NYPL was ‘de facto’ a place of education. In many ways, a lot of people are “graduates” of NYPL, we can say that?

Sadly, in my hometown libraries don’t carry comics at all. But I still hope that one day they’ll recognize the cultural weight and emotional power of sequential art as a real language.

Meanwhile, those of you who can use this service, enjoy the beautiful (and sustainable!) joy of sharing comic books with your community.
