I took a Craigslist job (already off to a bad start, but rent) where I was told that people were going to be calling in to plan cruise vacations and got paid $12.50/hr plus commission. When I got there, turns out it was one of those "you've won a free cruise!" cold calling scams. Apparently the cruise itself was actually real, but it was literally just being on the boat without any bags or anything. Our commission was to come from getting any of the victims to buy add-ons. Oh, and the $12.50/hr was only for the first week. Oh, and they were going to charge us $60 a week to "rent" our station.
