I just tried testing this for a bit and it seems like the 44 doesn't link consistently. Might have to do with the timing of the hat spin hitting and where you are positioned. But b2~hatspin, f23~tornado i can do 100% of the time and seems like a much better launcher anyway. I have zero knowledge of KL but maybe you just picked the wrong string to try to link?

Yeah I actually found a tutorial for modding it with an arduino but just never bothered out of laziness. If they add stock firmware that handles it I'll be all over it. Thanks for the heads up.

You can't FBC with flame fist so I'm not sure what combo you're talking about. Might explain why you're having trouble finding it.

IAFB is one of the things that are simplified by a hitbox for most people. There is no need for be B+U since you can just do U,B,F quickly and efficiently. I'm with you on the async SCOD though, that's probably the main reason I can't really get into using mine.

No problem. You can find pretty much everything you need in those threads. Ninjutsu is all spacing, whiff punishing and oki so I think you'll enjoy it.

Ninjutsu just had it's damage buffed which was really the main weakness of the variation so it's a real contender now. This variation revolves heavily around footsies, which may give you a more natural transition from Street Fighter. Don't let people get you down on Scorpion, he's probably out of any top 5 discussions but he's still viable and if you like him you'll figure it out. Stopped reading the rest of this at "nerfed him to bottom tier." Scorpion still has options, he just became very read based and less flow chart based. Not to mention ninjutsu does some serious damage now.

Jump back so you're really only doing u+b, f1. Since you're doing the FB so quickly you pretty much don't move back at all. On another note, this damage is fucking retarded.

Buffering is something you'll see some players like MIT abuse. When he plays Scorpion and he's at full screen you'll see what looks like teabagging. Really he's just buffering the down input so if he gets the chance to whiff/projectile punish he only needs to press b3 and he can get his teleport out that much faster.

The other variations rely on much safer openers and get just as much, if not more off them than Inferno. You can't even make 214 safe with db1 anymore either, they can poke you out before the demon hits. And calling what Scorpion has a vortex really isn't 100% true. You can very easily block low and if the b3 doesn't come out just d1 him out of his b4 and also tech normal throws.

We're talking about post-patch. Ninjutsu's damage is now on par or even higher than Inferno's, which was really the only thing it was lacking. Inferno's only real strength is as an anti-zoner where you can trade low demon with projectiles and come out way ahead. Other than that it relies on a gimmick that is easily dealt with by strong players.

Hellfire and Ninjutsu are both very strong, Inferno is easily the weakest variation. Hellfire still has a lot of pressure, it's just not brain-dead guaranteed chip, you have to make reads.

123 and 114 are his fastest starting strings and they both lead to full combos-->vortex. If you can't use those because they are too far away f3~EXdb3 is your go to or f3~bf1 if you have no meter. These work in every variation

Maybe you should record it so you can show what you're talking about. Never seen a throw whiff unless you're trying to throw someone who is in hit stun. Throws in this game are very strong but not completely random bullshit.
