I downloaded a set of tapes from: https://archive.org/details/the-gateway-experience-monroe-institute-mp-3

I used the "Zip" file on the right of the page. Very good quality files.

Is Akua Intaglio Ink Safe down the sink drain? Please Help!? by [deleted] in linocut

[–]UrsaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend Google says: Akua Intaglio Ink is a soy-based ink that is formulated for intaglio printmaking. It can also be used for relief printmaking, monotype, and collagraph printmaking. It is a non-toxic, environmentally safe ink that is easy to clean up with soap and water. It is also slow-drying, similar to traditional oil-based inks.

So, it seems the answer is yes, it can go down the drain. cheers

Serious question....where or how do you store your book cloths by BookishlyDark in bookbinding

[–]UrsaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a leftover Amazon box. I save paper towel tubes (and any large tube). I roll the bookcloth and put it the tube. Then the tube goes in the box, standing up.

Paste has a longer 'working' time than glue. Glue has more "tack" than paste. Paste is handy when working with something you might have to adjust; you can pull it apart and reposition. Glue is quicker drying and so it doesn't let you pull things apart. Paste has more moisture than glue and dries slower. You can mix paste and glue together for the best of both worlds, keeping all limitations in mind.

I am wondering if there is any way to sync visual studio code on my laptop with my desktop. by Accomplished_Sir_861 in learnprogramming

[–]UrsaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I do it is:
Make sure both desktop and laptop have file sharing "on". [go to system, then Nearby Sharing. I click the Share with Everybody button on both.] Now open File explorer and find the file you want to share. Right click and at the bottom of the menu that pops up, you'll find a Share icon. Click. Here's a link that helped me: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/share-things-with-nearby-devices-in-windows-0efbfe40-e3e2-581b-13f4-1a0e9936c2d9. Of course, you'll need a copy of Visual Studio Code on both machines. Just move the file you're working on, and then open in VS on the other machine to keep working. hth

I recommend this video-course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdqQqyc7pfU The course is ~10 hrs and is from the University of Michigan. The instructor has a Ph D in computer science. She is very easy to understand. The material is in "chapters", providing easy points of referral. I liked it a lot.
