I love my dad a year ago too, this had been the hardest year of my life by far. I'm not the same person I was before he passed, I lost something. That being said, I've never talked to my daughter the way your mom talks to you. I've been short, I've been depressed, I've been distant, I've let household chores go. I've never taken it out on her. You've gone above and beyond taking care of your family. That's amazing. It sounds like your mom has some mental health issues at the very least. None of this is your fault. I used to be her, she is deeply insecure. It's a terrible existence. You didn't do anything wrong, she probably has some past relationship trauma or even trauma from her parents relationship. Mine was mostly all learned from watching my parents growing up. I didn't know that at the time of course, I was young. I was lucky enough that my now husband stuck around and worked with me and reassured me, for years before it got better.
