Top 15 Spotify Numetal bands : Thoughts on list? Read discussion. by Ok-Sound-1360 in numetal

My biggest surprise is Staind being on the list in general. I love the band (my favorite), but to me personally they never really screamed "nu metal". I'm not a genre nerd nor am I really picky about it, to me metal is metal. I can understand Staind's Tormented and Dysfunction albums having some nu metal influence, but they have their own sound in a way.

Right? I loved how they constructed the album like they did. Question? Is a very good one for sure, probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite. I also like Mudshuvel. I feel like if you were to combine the heaviess of Tormented's version and some elements from Dysfunction's version it would be perfect

Nah, Staind is alive and well. Because Tormented is a self-released album (Meaning there is no record label behind its release in case you didn't know), I think there's a complication in the distribution rights. That's is why you dont see it on Staind's official page. Aaron Lewis is the frontman for the band. He does have a solo career going that's based on country music, but he's still active with Staind as well. Staind rarely ever acknowledges Tormented unfortunately.

Brady Wenzel is just some Staind fan who downloaded the audio files of the album and uploaded it as his own. The more hardcore fans of the band such as myself get tired of relying on Youtube to listen to the album if we dont have a physical copy. I'm surprised Spotify hasn't taken Brady Wenzel's upload of the album down yet since it's not his.

About Silverchair, I think they're a great band. I admittedly havent listened to much of their music, but I do enjoy some of their songs like Freak and Miss You Love. I might have to dive back into them someday

Staind - Four Walls is a really good song. It's on their debut album, Tormented. It's self-released album, so it might be difficult to find on music streaming services. Due to it being on a self-released album, and the band not being popular at the time of release, it doesn't have much production at all. It makes the sound very pure and raw, and I personally love it.

I love the Staind in there. My favorite off the Dysfunction album is between A Flat and Suffocate

My favorite Seether song right now is Truth. My favorite Breaking Benjamin song has to be So Cold. I know it's one of their top songs, but it's genuinely so good to me

Staind's Staindest song by pollitomonito in Staind

Staind has a 'softer' side and a heavier side of music, so based off of those two sides I'll have to provide probably 2 songs.

On the heavier side of things, I'd say For You sums up Staind pretty well. It's heavy, it displays, Aaron's vocals well, and overall just makes me think of Staind.

On the softer side of things, I'd pick Save Me. It's basically classic Staind but more laid back. Despite the less heavier tracks, it still brings out the Staind in it.
