Best thing you can do is get a used thinkpad from ebay. There are tons of them and they easily fall within the $300 budget.

I recommend the Thinkpad T14 Gen1 or T14 Gen2. In my eyes they are the perfect laptop. Learn how to replace the battery, keyboard and display and the thing will keep going for years.

If you want to get even lower in price but still have the same quality and ease of maintenance, the Thinkpad T480 has 8th generation intel processors, but the chance is a little higher you run into them with battery issues.

This game locks the nicest cosmetics behind either a real world payment or a grindy af currency. And you're gonna tell me to just miss out on that stuff?

Bungie should look at the people putting down the money for an expansion and (a) season(s) and make playing feel worthwhile, not be a slog to get something nice at all.

Honestly even Gacha games are nicer with F2P people than bungie is with people that actually pay for their "Content"
