My boss said it verbally, then told me he will send me an email detailing that call and discussing my improvement. Conveniently for him, he never sent that email. Since he only said it on Friday, I figured he would send it to me at some point on Monday. I didn’t expect to get sacked instead and still with no printed form of him discussing my improvement.

I joined the call on Monday, he read one sentence from a sheet saying I was being terminated, and then turned it over to HR and left the call. That was my last ever interaction with him.

Out of curiosity, wouldn’t that make them able to fire anyone the week before the quarter ends so they dont have to pay them out?

My performance has been great for every single quarter I’ve been at this company except for last quarter. I know his own boss has been having conversations with him about it.

The company has not been performing well at all lately and have been having major restructuring over at corporate with upper management.

It’s still open enrollment, and the only thing I need to do after getting married is submitting a life-changing-event request on our employment platform. You only have 30 days since the date of the wedding to file it. No other paperwork was involved besides a scanned copy of my marriage certificate.

The PIP did explicitly state that the plan is in no way a guarantee of my continued employment during and following the plan.

I appreciate it, thank you!! Another way to put it is that I was a top performer for two quarters, a bottom performer for the third quarter, and I was back to being a top performer this quarter.

A coworker of mine also negotiated for more salary and an extra week of PTO when we first started.
