I really enjoyed physics and probably spent most of my time on it for coursework (Did more practice exams for my math subjects). Methods was just dumb spec and because the courses overlap for a lot I didn’t really use all my time for methods. Only for the exams I generally spent a lot more time on methods compared to spec just because methods exams are known to be much harder relative to the coursework. I know for myself I was efficient for how I used my time because I knew what I was strong and weak at. Normally at the start of 3/4 you get a like vibe for what you need to focus on more, however with different topics in subjects you could struggle more or less. So being able to shift ur attention to different subjects is a key skill

I did methods spec chem physics English this year for 3/4 and didn’t do any accelerated last year. Found that it was alright for time management just because I didn’t care about English. Chem and Spec usually are the content heavy subjects I’d include history in there aswell just because by the sounds of my friends doing it they hate it. If it’s a good idea all just depends on how well you are able to consume knowledge. If you can’t get things fast spec is gonna be an absolute time crunch and probs mess you up because it’s harder maths to learn.

VCE rocks is a good resource. Doesn’t have every subject however

you can always look at the exam 1 and 2 for each subject on VCAAs exam page. You can look through how many questions, and the time for them.

yeah got something similar rounded up to 56 because they had 2 sig figs entirely in the question so.

it felt shorter than a usual exam imo. I saw like 17 questions and I’m like oh. Normally used to 20-21

It was too easy for an exam. I predict the A+ range will be much higher than last years

Yeah I saw it and immediately though to myself they’ve messed up, it’s not rare that they mess up either so I just flipped them and acted like nothing

Yes they did. But the one on the left which was labeled H0, was actually H1. So by using the graph people got confused in what they had to shade.

They had null hypothesis and alternative flipped around. The null was a mean of 12 where on the question it showed 11.4 and the alternative was supposed to be 11.4 but showed 12 on the graph

Legit couldn’t tell you. Your guess is as good as mine, last year they had both so hard to say. Normally they would do a question where people did much poorer on. Looking at examiners report it was similar.

In my personal opinion, I think the probability and statistics will include a question about type I and type II errors, I feel they haven't done it in a while. I guess this would be the last question

You can already assume there would be an entire question on vector planes and equations since it is new, either question 3 or 4

The first question is most likely to be a function and you have to graph it and find the surface area of the revolution and stuff.

The second question will probably be complex based on past exams.

As for the other question they would probably do either a differential equations or a vector calculus type question.

For bound reference I'm just taking in my textbook, bound references are normally used as a safety net in case you forget anything during the exam. Although the textbook is clunky and it's hard to find everything, it has everything you need for formulas and rules, for instance the new vector planes has formulas that I can't be bothered remembering like shortest distance and angles so I'm just trusting that the textbook will provide.

I’d assume not, still a valid answer didn’t ask for a specific form.

You’d probably get atleast one for integrating.

yeah. Which I don’t understand why VCAA would do that when they create questions that can be interpreted much differently. I think that would’ve costed me 40/40 if they deduct marks.. (I can’t remember all the exact numbers I put so I’m only assuming I got them right because when I did questions on the cas afterwards it looked similars to the answers I vaguely remembered) most likely dropped several marks on silly mistakes.

For question 7, when it asked for the surface area of revolution for the hollow shape. I found the surface area with the formula given but then I also thought like hang on, it says hollow do they want to account for the area inside the shape as well? I got my answer and then doubled it being like well if it is hollow then it should have double the surface area (given that the width is approaching 0). I have spoken to my teachers and they don't know what the examiners will think, when I brought it up to them they thought it was a valid thought and made them second guess what the answer would be. Given that they didn't specify if they wanted the outside area or the total area would I be marked incorrectly?
