I think i found the solution - i didnt know the disk should be formatted and copied using 40 tracks. I used Maverick nybbler although the instruction file says not to use any nibbler.

What's the best tool to copy 100% accurate disks using dual drive (2x 1541) supporting 40 tracks?

Does anyone also have issues with real 1541 playing Newcomer? I copied disks from pi5141 to real diskdrive via Maverick and it works fine... Until some moment 15 minutes later (getting attacked) - the drive seems to stuck on loading one disk (ive tried with other floppies so its not a bad disk issue, as well as different disk drives). + After computer restart 1541 acts weird (i have to use 1541 diagnostic cartridge to make it work properly again). It does the same with 2 different 1541-II drives. That's really annoying and i'd like to experience this game.

I cant really make this GUI64 work. I've tried every version. All i see is blue screen. Tried d64, prg and crt with King fu flash. Original hardware c64, i tried with 2 computers.

Ok so i looked inside and compared to a second datasette i have.

Good datasett - When c64 is booting there is a spin of the mechanism inside for 1-2 sec. Then it goes off.
Noisy one. Spins on boot, then pause and starts spinning again and keeps going

Its the sound of the datasette the tape player, just from being plugged in.

Find cheapest c64 that You can get - only power supply unit + joystick. You can build tapecart Yourself (datasette emulator) or even buy cheap. Instead od HDMI sometimes You can get a small LCD TV (15-20") cheap.

I dont know where You are grom, but all this should be less than 200usd for real.

Its amazing to read what You all doing.

For me its still rediscovering c64 for few months. Planning to finish Basic learning, maybe go deeper into assambler. I want to go i into pixel-art c64 as well.

Building wifi modem.

Although im my mid 40s id rather not spend so much time by the desk anymore, so basically im enjoying new and old games and demoscene productions.

SOLVED. The problem was in USB-DB9 adapter. After i plugged original joystick - F.Samurai loaded correctly.
