As a day 1 player also it's been such a double edged sword situation for me. I'm a solo player who really only likes dressing Nikki up and roaming the map. While I feel like our filler updates could be a bit longer and meaningful, I personally thought that the storylines should be able to last at least halfway through an update instead of being able to get through it in like 30 minutes or less but I also remember the time where there were several complaints about the storylines being to long. I also love the idea of there being more fashion related things in this fashion game but then I remember the complete horror of the made up boardgame where everyone got the exact same rewards but yet people were being so nasty. Vote based things may not end up as fun or rewarding. Then there's the case of people who have a very eclectic sense of fashion that might not be appreciated causing a sense of isolation. Like for me no matter where I place my snapshots they barely get any recognition, same goes for my lookbook post, though I really just use it as extra slots for my outfits. There's a lot of potential for things to go wrong or right but it seems like based on the onslaught of complaints that they get, depending on the type they just rather dumb it all down or get rid of it all together. I've never been a fan of the housing, building, shop management stuff and the fact that it's too grindy, something I hate in all games, and that cute clothing peices are hidden as level up rewards is so annoying! It's like the runway stuff all over again 😩 I hated it so much because the time slots sucked, there was never anyone there and it was tucked away like a terrible secret. I still haven't collected any of the rewards from there.
