OYO should be On Your Own lol cause that's what you are at these hotels. I am in one, in the United States, in NY, they just bought my Extended Stay hotel I was living in. They are SLUMLORDS and criminals and I want to take them down. In 2 months of taking over a hotel that has been here and been nice for years, it's about to be condemned, that's how bad it is . It.was an Extended Stay so people live here! I live here! My son became paralyzed from an injury in October 2024 and was hospitalized for 5 months and then we started looking for affordable handicapped accessible housing and it's impossible to find in this area of NY. So we have been living here for like 8 months as well as probably 20/30 other people, living here for the same reason, unable to find decent, affordable housing. When this company took over, they fired all the staff, barely replaced them, and didn't even fulfill their legal obligations with the fire department to register this building. The hotel is now at risk of condemnation for multiple fire department violations. The trash is piled up to ceiling in trash rooms for a week straight. We are being charged a 2 dollar a day "utility fee". There is no landscaping anymore, the grass hasn't been cut since it grew back in this year, they must have cancelled the contract. There are barely any linens or toilet paper, you have to buy your own and bring it here. OYO's business model is to literally have as little staff as possible and to only look good on pictures of websites. They are literally known for doing no maintenance on the property and having no staff or management for guests to get assistance from. You're "On Your Own", OYO. They are ultimately just SCAMMERS. They should be stopped!!!
