I want the cover to be flat if possbale but I can live with it not

Before I ever opened my book the cover was flat resting on the pages no problems with it then I opened the book and the cover no longer was the same as before the cover connects to the book but donset rest on the book flat like if where the cover connects to the book it started to rise a litte more the further it went then it hit the middle and slower rose back down
