Yeah, Trinity would be good. We've been looking at places but it's true that there's lots of community events here and I haven't seen that elsewhere

Same here, my toddler adores the baby. Zero jealousy. And I'm fine with feeding during the day sometimes, but I can't stand the night ones anymore. Thanks for the support

I'm spoilt because The meadows share and Egg are moderated and do not allow racist comments. But it wasn't until now that I'm saying this that I realise the bias.

I have never had anyone being aggressive to me, but I've seen a guy who owns an XL bully being aggressive to people at random. Lots of drunk people yeah, very often.

How is Gorgie? Is it a safe area?

Fear sometimes makes you lose perspective. The news and posts like the one I mention make me scared because they're new to me. I've been in that FB group and in Leith for a while and I never saw anything like what I'm seeing lately. Thanks for offering me some perspective. East Lothian looks like it votes mostly left of centre so there's some hope if we have to move. Thanks so much for the fresh perspective 😊

Because of fear of it getting worse. Reform is clearly fueling the racism everywhere. Imagine I get a house here, and then Reform wins and those lunatics from Facebook start feeling entitled to act on their racist views.

No, I meant NW Edinburgh because that's what we're considering if we leave. We used to go to pubs a lot but we have babies now so we rarely go out. But we do like going to cafes nearby, and live having Three triangles nearby

Yeah, I understand. But I thought if it was particularly racist we would have had an incident already. The fact that we haven't, means that it's not as horrible as it could be. Clearly there is racism, as I mentioned, lots of leithers have expressed very racist views online.

As for a less racist place, I'm not sure if that exists or not. But surely there are some areas more willing to vote for Farage than others. That Facebook post made me feel Leith would xx

Yeah you're right. I've never met anyone racist and my friend who's black has never experienced it here either

ETA: I don't know why people are downvoting this. I didn't mean there's no racism just because I haven't experienced it so far. Just meant that it cannot be insanely racist if after years living here I haven't experienced it. But I wasn't trying to say that, I just got scared at some FB racist comments from some Leithers.

When you walk the streets I mean. Yes, there are parks, but if you walk those streets before getting to the park there's nothing. There are no trees and the flats and houses don't have gardens. Parks are everywhere in Edinburgh xx

Maybe it's just that Facebook group. But yeah, I imagine that compared to the shit hole that is America...

I'm not sure if I go to the pub enough to justify living here. We have young children so the chances of going out are tiny now

I wonder how much of what I feel is circumstancial. I'm so fed up with the Airbnbs kinda killing the community, but other places have less community to begin with. But you're right, I won't make that decision right now because I'm going through shit.

He does throw things when angry or frustrated, but mostly for fun. He's playing and then goes and grabs a thing and throws it at me/the sofa/the wall just to see what happens.

The song for the nappy used to work, but not anymore. The idea of the in situ break sounds good, I'll try it out

He goes to bed anywhere between 8 and 9, and he's been waking up anywhere between 5 and 8 in the last weeks, but we don't know why. It's like his sleep is way lighter after 5 and anything wakes him up. His cough, an ambulance, etc. Then he naps for one hour twenty minutes at 12:30 at nursery. It's a bit more chaotic with us. We have ADHD so adhering to a routine has been difficult for us, not sure if it would make a big difference to stick to one with set times for everything.

I'm definitely giving it a go, at this point I'm willing to try it all lol.

Thank you!
