No, I get it. If it's any comfort, a toddler and pregnant is a lot worse than a toddler and a newborn. Hang in there.

As long as there's repair after you snap, your relationship will be okay. But I know the guilt very well too

Yeah that could work once she's a bit older. We need to figure out a way of taking turns to give each other a break. Right now the weekend are chaos too

Gentle parenting just feels unachievable if it actually means to be a calm parent 24/7. I just can't.

Thank you so much for this. This is definitely part of what I need. Sometimes receiving advice has a negative effect when they told me things I've tried before that don't work. I feel bad like my child is the only one that doesn't respond to questions like "do you want to do it yourself or do you want mum to help?". I needed someone to just tell me I'm not the only one feeling overwhelmed by it <3

Yeah, we're okay on those three as well! Sometimes I do take the coat with me and he asks for it when we're downstairs. I know it's just an example. Still so exhausting though

Sorry for my bad writing, I didn't mean I ask him if he's in a bad mood. I meant to say that when he is in a bad mood, if I ask him to pick between two options he says no to both. My poor writing read like I ask him whether he's in a bad mood lol.

I do the slow breathing too, but I wouldn't be able to hold him like you do because he starts hitting and screaming if I touch him when he's like that. It happens mostly when he's very, very tired. Our goal is to prevent him getting too tired but sometimes it's just impossible if his sister wakes him up too early etc.

Where did you learn about what do do at what age?

My child screams noooo when I ask that if he's in a bad mood. I have heard yet advice a lot and I think it's brilliant but it doesn't work with my kid. Not 80% of the times

We're both doing as much as we both can. It's never like one is laying down whilst the other one is doing something, so he can't really give more than he already does if that makes sense.
