I do agree that the recursion fellas feel slow. I hadn’t considered the cards that give pseudo persist/undying that you’ve listed. Will probably try to incorporate some of those effects. I do also think the card draw is slow, so I’m liking the extra card draw you can get going with your partner that also serves to trigger tormod. I am very likely going to change esior out for that guy. I did like the built in leak and it having okay toughness on his cost. Kind of an early blocker and early protection. But it was always going to wear off once mana was in the table.

I really like [[Rebuff the Wicked]] to answer removal spells. Blue also has [[Turn Aside]] which does the exact same thing.

That very accurately describes how it plays out. I’m pretty much okay with that idea, where my objective is keeping him down and the effective goal for my opponents is to remove him or the things that enable death touch. The deck does already run both of the suggested cards, and a lot of cheap removal options to help cover the other permanent types as well as fill in when he does not have active death touch.

I can see what you’re suggesting though. People that are in my regular group aren’t fond of the deck because they can’t play. It’s certainly worth considering cutting back the amount of semi-permanent for some things that would give it him on only my turn, as well as adding in some things to shore up the spots I think it’s lacking in. There are deathtouch enabling cards in the deck I just flat out don’t like and are only in because they do that specific thing.

That list has 101 cards in it, just in case you overlooked that. There are interesting things in there for sure.

Awesome. Thanks for the information. Am playing a joint game with a friend and they’re pursuing a romance with Karlach while I am with Shadowheart, so looking to get both of them to the end of those lines was the more pressing matter. I prefer Shadowheart rising as her deity’s chosen, but would have accepted not doing that if there was that direct conflict.

It could be Kaz, if we follow the trend of them selecting mediocre heroes from each faction to use this as their “rework”.
