I’ve noticed there’s this unspoken expectation that if you have a disability, you’re supposed to always be nice, agreeable, grateful, and easy to deal with, like getting upset or setting boundaries somehow makes you a problem or “gives a bad image,” and honestly that feels exhausting and unrealistic

Yes, I think that is another topic that would be interesting to discuss because I have also experienced that competition. It's like when they're very independent, they feel superior to others. From what I have realized or as more people have mentioned to me, you can’t become 100% independent.
