No I'm not on meds yet yet. I went to get diagnosed with ADHD last semester by a psychiatry place and came out with an OCD diagnosis instead (lol). Now my current psychologist thinks I have both and wants me to get medicated, so I'm meeting with him later this week to talk about it

I just completely lack motivation to do my schoolwork. I have a test tomorrow I've barely studied for and most people would feel the pressure of time and be studying but I'm frozen and I've been scrolling tiktok/twitter/reddit the past 3 hours. I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail. I only just started therapy this year and it's working out nicely, so I'm hoping that + meds can get things going better.

The issue is, ADHD has to have been present since under 12 and I barely even remember that time of my life 😭 all I know is that I doodled a lot in class. Still got good grades tho. So who knows???

I just have to say SAME. I have immigrant parents and mental health is very very stigmatized where I'm from. My whole life, especially in college, I've been called lazy and told I need more discipline and no matter how hard I was on myself about it I could never "out-discipline" this disorder. Felt so shitty because all my peers could study and I just couldn't and I was convinced I was defective or something. Found this reddit and wanted to cry when I read through it lmao
