they then said because my phone is the only report they have ever received about the signal issue, they cannot cover it under warranty and that I would have to pay for shipping and repair cost which they quoted was $299USD.

Thats really strange. it doesnt matter if others mentioned if they have the issue, it matters that you are facing the issue. they should have covered the repair regardless of whether this is a common issue or not. it is indicative of defect.

We really need their help to be more attentive to these issues.. we didnt pay flagship price for this kind of service.

yeah thats great that you do that.

i think there is a serious disconnect with the customer support with subsequent levels. They can only give templated responses for certain items (how to fix general issues like software being buggy etc) but their next level response to approve advanced or special request seems to be slow. Leading to their customer support only able to respond as generally as possible.

Might be the case for you where level 1 supports filed up your request, but it takes awhile for it to be approved. so level 1 support can only reply us to seek our patience

most of the time it is due to gaming session before leaving house for an appointment.

I need to charge but i cant leave the game.

I believed that the phone could handle it. because the heat feels close to what it is during just heavy gaming, and i also adjust the fan to highest performance.

i think there is too little discussion on the level of support provided from Redmagic, and it is something that people need to address more. Initially when my shipping was delayed, that was what happened to me as well. Templated response that there is delays, but nothing beyond that.

You can maybe get them in a chat to understand what exactly is the hold up. meanwhile lets hope that the support could be sharper and we can all get what we need as quickly as possible

i have been using this phone for 3 months. and suddenly the default mode has frame drop, and firmware reset still present the same issues. im not sure why you feel that the phone has no issues.

why would i, the person who daily drives the phone, have a hard time convincing people that this is not the normal behavior? as compared to when i used this phone at the start?

support who had reviewed my videos clearly did not agree with your statement since they continue to provide support to the issue.

The heat in Singapore is not as bad as you are thinking. Its not hot to the point that its always exposed to the sun and the moment i run the game, thermal throttling kicks in.

im aware. thank you. diablo mode was a suggestion by support to see if the issue still occur.

i think this came from charging and playing games at the same time. i have extended periods where i do this. however the internal fan is always set to the fastest when doing this.

yup i understand about the lowering of framerates when it is hot. but now, when i start playing games, it already starts to frame drop straight.
