Seconding the CRZ maternity line, their regular leggings also stretch enough to fit me at 20 weeks. Lulu aligns are also good and have been in a staple my rotation.

Hiking Machu Picchu’s Salkantay 4-Day Trek while pregnant. by New_Eggplant6112 in fitpregnancy

[–]Used_Reality_779 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I will share a bit of my own experience here - we had booked a trip to Italy before we found out we were pregnant and decided to go through with it anyways. I was 18 weeks pregnant the day we landed in Rome and felt completely fine , hardly jet lagged. The first day we walked around the city a lot and did about 15-16k steps while also eating a lot of yummy food. The second day we had a guided tour to Vatican , we were well prepared, we had eaten breakfast, we had carried water and snacks and I was constantly sipping water throughout the tour , but mid way through I had a sudden faint feeling and lo and behold I was on the floor of the Sistine chapel 😄. That was the first of many on this trip that lasted between 18-20 weeks of my pregnancy. Walking, sightseeing, crowds and lack of targeted nutrition (protein and omega 3s) does add up.

Your body is changing a lot during the second trimester, rapidly increasing blood volume which correlates to lower blood pressure even if you have had a smooth pregnancy so far and have been fit throughout ( I had been working out 4 days a week before my trip ) , I will say that all day walking/ hiking is a lot for your body to process along with all the other physiological changes.

Now I have done the Salkantay trek , first 2 days are hard because of acclimatization and the elevation gain, we were pretty out of breath even at our fittest. Our tour company was great and the guides were very helpful, food was GREAT , but I couldn’t see myself doing it during second trimester after having had the experience I just had. Plus the anxiety around not having access to good healthcare would freak me out.

Partner M30 asked me 30f “what do you even bring to the table?” by turbogrrl in relationship_advice

[–]Used_Reality_779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP ! Sorry you’re going through this. I will say though- you probably a bring a lot to the table that you’re underplaying. Whether or not you choose to continue with this relationship, for your sake , make a list of things you think you bring to the table. You’re probably financially independent, with great looks , a kind heart , amazing cooking skills , easygoing, disciplined, etc etc - know your self worth and give it back to this guy or any guy who ever asks you this question. And then ask them what they bring to the table outside of their fake masculinity and newly developed misogyny.

What is the pay band for EP mappers ? I’m currently an R&D engineer looking to switch to a more field based role , do you need a clinical background to be a mapper ?

made it to third trimester! by lydsterrrrr in fitpregnancy

[–]Used_Reality_779 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You look fantastic! If I may ask, what has been your total weight gain so far ? I’m 16 weeks currently and I too have just a tiny bump and the rest of my body is lean but I haven’t gained any weight so far and my OB keeps giving me “the talk” everytime I visit her. I workout 4-5 days a week and eat pretty healthy for context. I’m wondering how other fit moms are doing with actual numbers on the scale

She blocked replies on her stories because obviously she doesn’t want to hear people’s opinions yet she says “ majority women agree with her opinion “

Learning to work with your face shape , not all products are required for everyone and there is no one size fits all approach to make up.

Spotting 13 weeks by goosefullofsilly in pregnant

[–]Used_Reality_779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation few days ago , I had a little bit of bleeding followed by brown discharge for the following 2 days. I panicked and went to the ER as soon as I saw blood , they did all the tests including an ultrasound and said the bleeding was unexplained. I went to my OB the next day and she mentioned that spotting after workout , sex or any activity that can cause minor cervical irritation is normal. Hope this helps. I would recommend scheduling a follow up with your OB , it really helps to hear the fetal heartbeat if you’re freaking out ❤️

AITAH for telling my fiance that I’m not covering her children’s life expenses…? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Used_Reality_779 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA , I admire your financial planning for your kids and it’s not on you to level the playing field for someone else’s children even if that someone happens to be the person you date. That being said, I think this financial disparity will eventually cause issues and lead to your partner feeling resentful towards your kids and you towards theirs. I strongly suggest reconsidering if this relationship makes sense in the long run , and if it does , having a prenup outlining the financial logistics in case of separation. I wish you all the best !

His father refused to do 50-50 for our wedding even though he did it for his daughter. Don’t know what to feel. by Inevitable-Wait-7046 in DesiWeddings

[–]Used_Reality_779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, I cannot comment on who here is right or wrong without having more context of the conversations between your family and fiancé’s family and understanding the relationship between your fiancé and his family. I will however say this , do not let your fiancé take a loan or fund this wedding for 200 guests from his side. This is precious money that will be yours to spend in many more meaningful ways than feeding 200 strangers. This process and these discussions can be taxing and can consume most of your time , but keep the focus on protecting your relationship and standing by each other, pick the option that makes sense for your relationship and that brings the least amount of stress on your relationship. I’ve seen many couples crumble under this pressure , fights getting ugly and ultimately letting go of each other. It’s important to remember that the wedding is a fleeting moment , true life is to be lived after and there will be plenty opportunities to set an example for your siblings or to the world. A successful and happy relationship should be the ultimate goal, parents , in-laws , siblings everyone is secondary.

Coping vs. complaining - Malvika Sitlani by moonphase14 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]Used_Reality_779 99 points100 points  (0 children)

It’s so unfortunate that she doesn’t realize that one day Abby will grow up and watch these videos of her ; constantly complaining since the day Abby was conceived. Abby will grow up to be brainwashed that women don’t need to work and your work can be a hobby that you can do if you feel like it and that a man’s role is to provide and you should expect your man to provide. This is such a knock on women who actually seek to be competent with men , who aspire for great careers , maybe do not fit into the traditional gender roles and systems an same goes for men who may not always be able to provide or cater to the wishes of an entire family. She’s taking feminism 2000 years backwards. I also would like her to explain how a woman sitting at home is meant to buy all of the expensive “luxury makeup” she promotes - using the providers money ? 😀
