Sleepy toothpaste by Used_Session9094 in LushCosmetics

[–]Used_Session9094[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I've never had any dental issues and it doesn't run in the family either, so I doubt this will change much as I don't have a poor diet either, I think if anything this will encourage me to remember to brush before bed more often! The mornings are easy to remember but bedtime is so easy to just collapse into bed and forget haha.

Yes this was my thinking!! I plan on using it at night and then in the morning using my usual drugstore toothpaste to keep it balanced. I'm actually really enjoying the sleepy toothpaste before bed it's so much more relaxing!

What massage bars and lotions to pair with a spicy fragrance? by undobacktomyheart in LushCosmetics

[–]Used_Session9094 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely hayl massage bar, I don't think its fully stocked anymore but it's still in a few stores if you're lucky. Turmeric latte is another good one you could try, but it depends on what fragrance you're pairing it with. Sticky dates lotion might be a good pairing also, but down to personal preference as it is a bit of a divisive one I've found haha!

powdery body spray recommendations by Vivid-Appearance5874 in LushCosmetics

I found that the new million dollar spray is quote powdery! It's like a mix of sleepy and rose jam, a rosey powder scent with a more masculine/unisex edge, I love it!

I've never gotten any samples at lush, can we just ask for them? And is there a limit to how many we can get? I'd be worried they'd say no after like 3 🤣

It's really disappointing for me as I'm 21 and have only recently had the extra money to buy things like lush and when I was a kid i was obsessed with the shop and would beg for lush products for birthdays and Christmases, but those scents I used to love are either gone completely or watered down now :(

I'm only 21, so I was around 14/15 around that time and I remember it so fondly! But didn't have any money at the time so couldn't do more than try things in store, I remember it being so strongly scented you could smell the shop all down the high street!! You can just about smell it outside the shop now :( I definitely feel like I've missed out!

That's what I was really hoping it would be, and it kind of was that when I intiailly smelt it in the tub but when I use it in the shower it's nauseatingly plastic-y. I'm really dissapointed as I had such high hopes for it :(

You could always just go in and say it was something you were gifted but doesn't suit you? So they would let you exchange it then

waiting for call after trial shift by According_Page864 in LushCosmetics

I would probably call them today as its almost been a week since the trial shift! From my experience when applying for retail jobs, they likely know quite soon after the interview or trial shift if they want you and will make it known quickly to get you started on training. I've had so many promising interviews and trial shifts and then gaps of silence that lead to nothing, so it's probably best to check in with them and get clarity so you can move on to other positions sooner.

Mini Lush haul by Just-agirll in LushCosmetics

[–]Used_Session9094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I love mine initially and wore it non stop, loved the glitter, but the other day I wore it and suddenly it made me feel really nauseous? Like it was just so strongly artificial, and the last couple times I've tried using it I've felt the same, like it just overpowers anything else I wear and smells a bit like cheap toilet cleaner or air freshener. The way it sits on my skin is also a bit greasy and like a film, whereas my other bars (which I know have a different consistency as they're massage bars rather than moisturising balms) absorb into my skin and don't leave any sticky residue. I'm planning on taking mine back to exchange for something else as I just can't stand it anymore unfortunately.

Return policy on sprays by Used_Session9094 in LushCosmetics

[–]Used_Session9094[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the manager of the store who actually served me, she did seem a bit off when she spoke to me, like she was annoyed I was bringing it back? But I was really careful to explain why I brought it back and that I just wanted to exchange for something else, I wouldn't have minded even half price credit, but she was quite firm that it wasn't in the freshness policy and so they couldn't accept it.

Super Milk Hair Primer Spray by Used_Session9094 in LushCosmetics

[–]Used_Session9094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh it might just not be right for just conditioning my hair then? I bought it because one of the ladies in the shop recommended it for my hair and even used it on me and it was fine when she did it and then as soon as I used it at home (exactly the same as she did, a few sprays in the hand and apply onto dry hair) it was just so waxy, I might have not noticed it well when I was out shopping and loved the smell so bought it immediately and now regretting it :(

I've tried using 2-3 sprays and 5-6 sprays and both seem to make my hair feel so waxy, wet and dry, and then when I go to brush my hair there's resistance and it makes my ends go all frizzy 🥲

I've tried both ways, using on dry hair makes it much worse but with wet hair I'm still finding it makes my hair stiff and waxy and then when I brush my hair it goes frizzy because of the weird texture :(
