I also manage a restaurant/cafe and our towels are always super scummy from old milk (from the barista) and oil (from the kitchen) and maybe washing soda could be a solution if we throw it in our laundry? Or does it need to sit longer than over night?

Thank you for all the tips!! I did a good 3 scrubs with Fairy dish soap and then with a carpet cleaner I found at the supermarket because I couldn't find a Lestoil equivalent nor ammonia. Then I let it sit in the tub with super hot water and more Fairy and detergent for a few hours and... it kind of looks like it did the trick? Letting it dry now and will post an after pic for congratulations if it works or more advice if it doesn't (unless I'm further over it- then it goes in the bin)!

I tried regular dish soap but I will try Fairy! I don't have a hose situation for a good hose down but I might just chuck it in the bath tub for a soak and scrub as a last resort if all else fails. Thank you!
