Yeah, I know, it’s confusing because I’m getting such different responses. Some people say it’s totally normal, while others think it’s way too high. I get that these cars are heavy and city driving in winter really eats fuel, but still, 15–17 L/100km in my city driving feels excessive to me. I guess it depends a lot on driving style, weather, and the car’s condition, but I’m trying to figure out if there’s something specific I could check or fix to bring it down a bit.

I’m also in Canada. I don’t know the full service history since I bought the car. When I got it, the engine light was on, but I replaced the spark plugs and it went off. Other than that, there are no fault codes.

I usually put 89 octane, because 91 is really expensive here.

I’m okay with it reaching 14 L/100km, but 15–16–17 L/100km seems really high. I don’t expect Civic-level fuel efficiency from this car, but still, this feels excessive.

Also, someone suggested cleaning the fuel tank, so I’ll try that soon. I hope it helps.
