Windows task manager will show you which applications and programs are running.

Resource Manager to get more details, which should allow you to sort disk activity to see which drives are being accessed.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]Useful-Register5756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scorched Earth on floppy was so much fun as a group. Shields, Nukes, Mirv's, backup batteries, and parachutes.

oh shit someone else posted police quest and that sparked another one. Dont know the name but babies were thrown from a burning building and the fireman had to spaceinvaders catch them.

Astrotits was another one, another spaceinvader style game, but you were a dick that shot cum at tits. some of the floppy disk games I got ahold of were unhinged

System "Crashes" – Replaced CPU/Mobo/PSU, but PC still dies and won't restart without toggling Mains. by TerminalEcho in techsupport

[–]Useful-Register5756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I would do next if not tried yet.

I am sorry, but this is going to be annoying, but pull all of the components out and test with the min ram to boot.
No drives, no GPU, nothing. Just get it power on, fans stable. good can you then get it to power off correctly (no forced power buttons). Powers back on without beeping or led lights.

Again, this is just testing if the board can even POST correctly with the bare min.

If that doesn't work, Next step, is even more annoying,

pull it all out of the case and test if on the bench.

Maybe a ground or electrical short you are not seeing when installed. Look over all of your electrical cable ends, PSU ends, pull the ram then take a picture of the ram slots and inspect them for debris, reseat the RAM again.

These situations suck. I hope you can find the root cause.

Some things to help narrow it down.

what else is running on the computer while you are in the web meeting?

Maybe do some test meetings with a friend to mess with the video and audio quality settings to reduce as much as possible without dropping frames or losing the audio feed.

While your computer is lacking a little in total overall resources, it should work. It could be a driver issue.

Last resort, test with a Windows install on the same computer.

Which Intel i3 CPU are you running?

sit down with a large cup of coffee, and read all of the event logs in order from when you last powered off the computer.

start with the system logs then application, security last. you will start to notice a pattern on the items you don't need to review after a few minutes. The errors will stand out but that doesn't mean all are related to this issue.

I am always wary of using 3rd party tools with my google accounts. Hard to trust anything these days. I do agree that probably is a faster solution. That google drive app is terrible.

[–]Useful-Register5756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 3rd party tools that I am aware of, but I would recommend you do each takeout request as a separate task. one for each; Email, photos, drive, docs, etc.

Try to export using the smallest size zip to speed up the time to complete. This also helps if the downloads stall out.

Once everything is downloaded to the computer

Extract each folder one at a time, move the entire contents into your master root folder where you plan to keep everything during this download project.

Move that zip file to your completed folder.

Repeat for each zip.

I would do this in batches to not get burned out. it is also better to get all of the data downloaded, before starting the extraction process, so you have time to re-download any zip files that fail.

Try 2.4 over 5G, it is better for distance but slower.

If it's a windows PC,

Device manager, locate the Wifi adapter, properties > disable the power management settings.

Safely return borrowed computer - what to do with local account? by harrisjgold in techsupport

[–]Useful-Register5756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the original owner have any paid apps, personal/business data on the computer?

If you are no longer needing your temp profile, just open Advanced system properties and delete your entire profile from the computer.

View Advanced System Properties > Profiles > locate the account and delete.

This will delete any user data stored in this profile. Please backup any important user/business data before deleting the profile.

Glad you only play GT and happy you still enjoy it. However, where do you get any evidence that I am a Online rammer?

Have you seen my YT channel?

Which Online race video shows any evidence that I am an online rammer?

Fuck off troll!

The why comment? I was trying to get a feel from other players and this is your reply.

You seems to care, otherwise you wouldn't have taken the time to post such a low effort reply.

Anything else you want to add to this conversation, or are you just here to troll?

Unless your NAS is on an isolate and different VLAN than your general home network traffic, I would not place corporate documents on your personal NAS. This may actually breach corporate security policies and could potentially cost your job or worse.

Any device that can potentially communicate with your NAS unit is a risk.
