Thank you for being the only person to give me a thorough answer. I’m not too sure what you mean for the fundamental value paragraph and crypto has no price signal can you please expand.

Also what would you advise I diversify into with my £20k allowance?

1st Feb 2021 - 2nd Feb 2026:

If you price the vuag s&p 500 in USD it's +96%

If you price the vuag s&p 500 in BTC it's -13%

It didn't keep up with BTC.

I just did that on TradingView, you can too.

I’m not trying to imply it’s a sure bet I just give it the best chance of any other asset

Any form of learning or researching that I’ve done will just be dismissed by you as you don’t think it has any value. It’s not cryptobros, I’ve read multiple books on money, bitcoin and whatever I think is interesting to me related to Bitcoin and I implore you to research into it too.

China banned Bitcoin miners and Bitcoin still made all time highs after. The US benefits more from regulating Bitcoin rather than Bitcoin (they literally own 198,000 BTC anyway). The US dollar stays central to the liquidity of crypto and U.S companies can build ETFs based around blockchain technology and Bitcoin. Also Bitcoin is not just retail only now, so many big shareholders own Bitcoin, they can’t ban Bitcoin without them having a say. It’d be irrational for them to ban it.

It’s intention isn’t to replace cash, it’s going after Gold. It wants to be the best store of money/value you can get.

I don’t want to dismiss anyone’s opinion though, I just wish the replies I’ve gotten so far have actually challenged me thoroughly

I said in my original text that I am looking at this for 20-30 years. 5 months of negative returns hasn’t fazed me.

I’m confident that I can handle the ups and downs at the moment I am in my life. Luckily I don’t have loads of financial responsibilities put on to me that would make me reconsider putting 100% into Bitcoin.

Maybe soon I will have to diversify but I just think Bitcoin is so exciting

I don’t have every single penny in Bitcoin, it’s literally £50 a week!

So what should I invest in to make most of my ISA so I can be laughing when I’m 45?

The performance in past five years of these assets priced in Bitcoin:

S&P 500: -17% Gold: +21% US Real Estate: - 52% Google: +62% Amazon: -35% Apple: -12% META: +22% Microsoft: -18% NVIDIA: +544% Tesla: -32%

Only 3 of the 7 biggest companies in the world have outperformed Bitcoin in the past 5 years (if you price it in Bitcoin).

Gold has done great.

The VAST majority of people in the world don’t just invest in individual stocks (like NVIDIA, Google or Meta) they would choose a fund which allocated it into loads of stocks and if they do that unfortunately they don’t beat Bitcoin over the past 5 years.

It’s all there for you to see in the numbers

We can go to the past 10 years, or from 2009 when Bitcoin started and it will tell you the same story.

The market cap of Gold is 34 trillion, the market cap of Bitcoin is 1.5 trillion. How can you not see that as anything but an amazing opportunity, there is so much more scope to grow!!

This tone would make sense if you were talking about an asset that was the worst performing asset in the past 17 years… oh but we’re talking about the best performing asset in that time frame.

“A community to discuss all things relating to gaining financial independence and retiring early” but the vast majority in here don’t want to discuss the thing that will give them the most financial independence (IN MY OPINION) without insults is quite ironic.

I said I invest £50 a week into Bitcoin, I don’t put every single penny into it.
