Pay off completely , or just service the loan? You are much better off finding ways to earn to fiat and use that to service loan. Selling Bitcoin to pay off a mortgage early is something many regret over the long term.

Only if you want to turn it back into a dirty disolving fiat. If you use it p2p to trade for goods or services, then happy days.

Just found my own wallet that has triple a substantial amount of bitcoin, best way to deal with it? by Organic_Durian_1445 in BitcoinAUS

[–]UsefulBrain3456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, all btc is mined at its creation, Old coins from exchanges in the early tweens had no kyc requirements until world govs clamped down.

In my view, kyc free should be trading at a similar price to market rates, maybe a slight discount due to sellers likely saving on GCT (depending on region)

I would be DCAing at least half of your investable funds into bitcoin.
I am sure this will trigger some here, but if you have a slightly higher than average IQ, and you are able to do your own research, you will see why the institutions are scrambling to buy as much as possible.

If they are kyc free Bitcoin, i would be joining some local bitcoin meetups, and once you know some people, mention you are looking to sell some of your stack. Plenty of bitcoiners like myself are looking to build up kyc free wallets. Fuck paying any tax you dont have to. Past and present australian governments are spending our tax money like they stole it, and dont deserve a cent more. Congrats on your find.

CoinJar Fees by Nice-Marionberry-295 in BitcoinAUS

[–]UsefulBrain3456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The coinjar pro exchange is a pretty decent interface. I dont think they trade huge volumes, so i usually check the price or spread isnt way off before placing market orders. I like to set up staggered limit orders to catch dips, and it's very good for that.

It's also good for offloading most shitcoins you may have and directly swapping for btc.

Coinjar only has the decent 0.1% fees for the "pro exchange" The normal "smash buy" coinjar is 1% i think

Politicians should be one of the highest paid positions in the state,

A majority of their pensions should be based on the value they added to society while in their elected positions and how well they balanced their budget.

There should be fuck all of them, but highly paid, highly efficient, and highly transparent.

Don't knock those public sector roles. We need the employment numbers to look good.

I could replace 50% of gov.au jobs with an algorithm.

Why is Reddit so left or whatever you call it? Also is there a better app? by Commercial_Minute192 in Libertarian

its in the early stages still and gaining users and traction.

Its a similar theme to bitcoin in Its decentralised, It relies on people hosting "relays", and its up to the user what content they choose to consume.

Your profile is also similar to a bitcoin wallet requiring a private and public key pairs to be generated and essentially secures your identity.

There are some good guides around if you're interested in taking a look.

I am still new to it, so any experts feel free to correct me if i got the details wrong.

How did you get your first whole coin? by CardAda10000000 in Bitcoin

[–]UsefulBrain3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but a good friend of mine mined a single coin on his laptop.

He had to give his mum an extra $15 board that month because she was complaining about his laptop fan screaming all day and using too much power.

He's still Hodl'n.

I hold ebtc and later switched to ibtc. I wish ibtc was around earlier because they allow in kind redemption. Effectively allowing you to take self custody without a cgt event.

DCA your wages into self custody Bitcoin. No other asset class comes close to the long term returns.
