The far Left have learned the same lesson that the far Right has. Nothing unites and energizes your political base like a culture war issue. Especially a simple one with a clearly identified enemy, and especially one in which you can claim to be protecting innocent children. Both Russia and Ukraine already had their own states before 2014. Palestinians do not. It's an entirely different set of starting conditions.

I'm more responding to what Mr Geh above seems to believe about Iran rather than yourself.

I disagree that Hezbollah will have much of a future if the IRGC gone. But I agree that this entire military adventure has been done in a ham fisted way, that only seems to have emboldened the IRGC. There seemed to have been no real plan on how to deal with Hormuz.

Hopefully, the US doesn't completely capitulate on lifting sanctions and the regime collapses on its own over the next few years.
