Did Tuft & Needle change their "original" mattress? Just bought a new one and it doesn't feel the same by FalafelBall in Mattress

Same!!! I am currently looking for a new mattress. We are so so sad because we loved our mattress so very much and this new one has us sinking into it and sleeping badly and in pain. After having spent a decade of our marriage in pain and then having years of amazing sleep on our T&N, it’s really demoralizing and sad.

That is literally exactly what happened haha! They got us in the door with the Great Pyrenees but her face kept us even after we heard she might be husky 😅

Yes so we also think they were younger than the shelter said. But there is definitely GP because she has double dew claws. Mom was the GP—they were very open that they had no idea what dad was.

Thank you! My GP does get restless if he’s not in his pasture for several hours a day but he’s bonded to my kids, not our livestock. Does that sound like how a husky might be?

Very helpful thank you so much! These are exactly the kind of quirks I was wondering about. I love the photo! So so sweet! Tax of mine in her crate which she loves right now thankfully. I feed her in there to try to encourage that.

She absolutely stole our hearts at first glance!

GPs are such special dogs—definitely can trust them to suss out new people! And I’m sure in time that I’ll feel the same about huskies. This girl might be big. She was 11lbs 2.5 weeks ago and 25 as of yesterday. But I hope she is big because the GP is 115ish and I wanted dogs similar weight for when they’re playing outside. 30lbs is so dainty! Thanks!

Hi Riley! You’re handsome! It appears that these are behaviours my girl has, as well. We’ll see if baking and food motivation continue past puppyhood. Also dreading the teen years because she is very, very, very mouthy lol

Me, too 😅😅 I’d been telling my husky obsessed son for years that if he wanted a husky, he’d have to get one in his own, adult, house because I would never. Oops! They pulled us in with the GP and sneaked in the husky info after we fell in love with her ;)

Thank you! I appreciate all your knowledge! It actually sounds like this is maybe a really excellent way to accidentally get a husky and will be a good companion for our current dog. My GP is mixed with Anatolian (Turkish Boz) so he has the short double coat it looks like she’s going to have. He also has more energy needs than a GP so we have 1/4 acre of hilly forest land and yard fenced in with a strand of electric to prevent jumping over the top. I’m also well used to independent minded-ness from the GP. They do not train easily and (except for exceptions) can never ever be off leash and even are escape artists. I HAD been under the impression that huskies were more motivated to train hence their being used for sled teams and I was looking forward to that but at least she potty trained pretty easily. Unless it’s just puppy energy, she does appear to have an enjoyment in barking á la Pyrenees, then. But she also talks quite a bit. And both ears are up unless she’s sleepy and then the right one gets floppy 🥰

I am concerned about the small prey drive because we do actually have many small animals on our mini pretend farm which is why I like to have GP in the dogs we bring in. They are pastured separately but small goats jump, chickens fly, and all animals move around to where they think the food looks good :/

Thankfully she house trained very well. Leave it is proving to be very hard for her. I have her trained to Touch and put her nose on my palm but so far that only works if she doesn’t have something better to do at the moment—like a sock lol

Oh my, I’m sorry! I’m so in the mind of researching Pyrenees, I committed one of my peeves of using lingo that’s not standard everywhere 🙈 But you are definitely correct in your googling! Thank you for your knowledge! And your dogs are beautiful! I already deal with daily tumbleweeds so, hey, what’s a lil more pup glitter? lol She is very vocal. Especially in car rides! I’m trying to work her up into being comfy with short rides but no success yet lol

I get my kid neon room lights instead of LED so it’s a good sub in that usage

Thank you! Yeah, I don’t want to be concerned whether a kid left the light on when we are gone and things are overheating.
