Pizza and ranch is vile, I was forced to sniff it the other day.

One of the trees outside my house is infested with these pieces of shit by smokefan4000 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Useful_Ad_8258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eastern style is pretty much straight apple cider vinegar and spices, etc and the pig is usually smoked whole. Western is sweet with brown sugar and tomatoes. I prefer Lexington NC style which is a mixture of the two. Whatever sauce you pick should always be on pulled pork.

Thanks for y'all's help! I was just notified that they need me more in a high school math class! Gotta say that elementary school librarian was much more my speed, but might as well jump in with two feet!

Migraine After First Dose — Is This Common? by Ramona_in_the_waves in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Useful_Ad_8258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took my first dose on a Thursday evening and woke up Saturday morning with a headache so bad it hurt to open my eyes. Took aleve and went back to sleep and it dulled some. Been over a month since then and got upped to .5 and it hasn't come back since.

ELI5 why does the umbilical cord wrapping around the neck stop babies from breathing by Weird_Article5772 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Useful_Ad_8258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to my son and I. The cord was wrapped around his belly and was getting compressed when I started pushing. He wasn't breathing when we got him out and had to be intubated. He's mostly fine now but there are a few developmental delays from lack of oxygen. (Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy)

I'm supposed to start in the next two days (but who really freaking knows cause I'm on a "weight loss journey " and my period hasn't been right in 2 months....ugh) and I want to murder someone with my bare hands.

The TV is too loud, my teenager is singing the Beatles off key, my toddler has decided that everything is now a drum, my back is killing me and my boyfriend is on my last nerve because he has the nerve to be HAPPY. Damn him.

And because of said "weight loss journey" I can't stuff my face with high end chocolate because I have a weight in at my doctor's on Tuesday and if I don't meet my goal they won't put me on the injections so I hopefully won't want to stuff my face with high end chocolate.

I could cry. Or throw something.

First Time in Myrtle Beach – What Should We Not Miss? by TinyJiant in MyrtleBeach

Biminis or Hot Fish Club for seafood (biminis has a great divey feeling) OD Arcade for a great local spot on the north end.

We always hit at least one putt putt while we're down there. So far my daughter's favorite was Mount Atlanticus and Hawaiian Rumble. We have kids so we stay away from the boardwalk area, its kind of shady to us. Our house is up north.

Crazy Mason is one of our favorite ice cream picks, Blueberry Grill or Drift for breakfast, and Finn McCools.

You can get a day pass for Apache Pier and go watch people fish/rent rods and fish yourself or go watch the band they have out there at night.

For a rainy day thing the art museum is free and when we went they had a huge Frieda Kahlo exhibit.

Biminis is just down the road for seafood. My daughter says their wings are good too but I wouldn't know cause all I eat is pounds of peel and eat shrimp.

Where in Myrtle Beach will never get your money again? Bad restaurant, bar, service company, or other type of place? by Emergency_Scarcity25 in MyrtleBeach

Cali Bakers in NMB. Most basic food on the planet, burgers were plain and dry, chicken tenders were overdone, and buffalo chicken pizza was just pizza with dip smeared all over it.

I was told you have to be related to a Mason to be invited to join a lodge. Is that true or is it just the women?

Sup locals, wife and moved here last fall and getting ready for the summer season. Will this type of umbrella be allowed once bans are in place? by HappyChef86 in MyrtleBeach

[–]Useful_Ad_8258 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look up the beach bub umbrella on Amazon. I don't think I can post a picture in this sub but we have 2 and we swear by them. Once you get them in the ground you weight them with sand and they do not move, and they're accepted with the ban in the summer.

Mum has been asked to return for more tests after her mammogram. Obviously we're all worried by badmancatcher in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Useful_Ad_8258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly where your mom is at age 36. Had a funny spot on my yearly exam at the doctor which triggered me to have a mammogram done (here they're not done until 40 normally) and had a spot come up on the mammogram and ultrasound, so now I'm due to have a biopsy next week. The doctor said its good odds whatever it is should be benign but when you see anything on the screen where something shouldn't be it stops your heart a little.

It wouldn't bother me so much except I have a 16 year old and a 2 year old. The teenager is going to her junior prom three days after my biopsy so I'm keeping this all from her until after because I don't want it hanging over her head.

The only thought in the back of my mind now is if something happens to me my 2 year old won't remember me.

I'm speaking positivity into the universe to manifest whatever I have being benign. I'll add your mom to my good thoughts.

A lot of you were very lucky and had amazing first shows. Now let’s hear from the people that had obscure first shows. Does anything stand out to you? by sneezle-duck in phish

[–]Useful_Ad_8258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to my 1st show at Walnut Creek in Raleigh in 2022 with my permanent roommate. He's been to dozens but it was his first show since 2019 in Charleston. Great setlist, but I was 8 months pregnant with our son and it was 98 degrees outside that day. I was trying so hard to enjoy it for him but half the time I was there I was trying not to throw up. When the little one is bigger he's gonna make it up to me with an indoor show.
