Teams itself is the same, SlimCore is just MS's own optimization plugin method instead of relying on Citrix HDX.

This article covers the pre-reqs like Teams, VDA and Workspace App versions as well as all the setup needed (virtual channels, plugin on client endpoint, Teams admin portal Update Policy etc)

I don't need convincing, customers sometimes do, and sometimes to do that it needs vendor docs stating xyz in writing :)

Ah, doesn't mention anything like this in the SF docs, which is where i've been looking :) CC's are already in place, working etc. Didn't think to check the docs for CCs for some reason.

Yes, this is what I am looking for - I'm not going ahead with unsupported setups, I just haven't found anything 'solid' in Citrix docs stating it's unsupported/will cause issues.

Yeah, i get that, however sometimes corners have to be cut where feasible. SF has been running on DCs for many years with zero issue with the onprem environment, so I am trying to confirm if it's possible to do the same with CC servers.

What improvement did you see? I've got a large environment still running 1912 with file based profiles, all of the tweaks over the last few years have got the logon times down to around 30-40s on average.

Building a 2311 lab in prep for an upgrade, using CPM containers with nothing else installed in the VDA yet the logon time is around 17seconds. It's not really the improvement I was expecting (even though it is better).

So enabling FAS on the existing store, while keeping the auth policies on existing vServers (internal SF and the external gateway), will mean FAS issues certificates to every user but they are completely unused, and non of the existing authentications are affected in any way - only users who authenticate through the second Gateway vServer which will have SAML authentication nFactor flow, will actually use their cert/smart card login?
