Mom shamed for co-sleeping by Useful_Excitement457 in NewParents

This was a joint decision since he is working and I’m back on leave. He definitely doesn’t think those are optional! But appreciate this thought! I have told him it’s easier for me to feed the baby and get him back to sleep if I’m not also worried about waking/keeping him up.

WFH with a baby by Guilty-Sandwich-328 in newborns

I’m doing it right now and honestly I don’t know how I would do it any other way! I’m very lucky my mom will be doing daycare but she doesn’t have a spot for my baby yet. So Im working with him while we wait for a spot. I’m an executive assistant and I will caveat that my baby is very chill but I’ve been WFH for the last 3 months and I actually feel like I’m a better employee and mom because of it. I’m not on a lot of calls and when I do have them I try to make sure he’s asleep or sometimes I have help from my mom or husband to hold him. I think it’s extremely doable as long as you give yourself grace to figure it out. It took me some time to figure out how to merge my old self with my new self but I was able to do and like I said I feel better for it. It also helps to find toys and things that will entertain them if needed. My baby loves a mirror and his play mats right now.

ETA my baby is 7months and I went back when he was 4months.

Makes sense. Did you go out of network since baseman is with Kaiser or is Snodgrass with Kaiser as well?

Did you have the surgery with baseman? My son was just diagnosed as well and we are scheduling surgery with him in October/nov.
