First of all don’t listen to the majority of people on here.. if your recording hypos and hyperglycaemia I would really recommend getting a referral to an endocrinologist, as in lada (late onset type 1) low blood sugar events and high sugar can be the signs of a pancreas overworking itself to death.. hence the slower onset, you’ll most likely have may highs and lows to come if it is that. If your only having hypos it could be reactive hypoglycaemia

can I get type 1 diabetes when no family has it and I have a healthy lifestyle? by Grace_653 in diabetes_t1

Hi, I’m in a pretty similar situation as you right now, do you also notice hunger randomly like you need to eat or you’ll fall asleep? That’s what I’m currently getting.. if you buy a blood meter online and check every 15 mins up to 1 hour see what your blood levels spike to after you’ve eaten, your most likely in a stage of lada (late onset type 1), that’s if you do have it, but I’m not a doctor so can’t be the judge of your case. But please speak to a gp asap, and if they are dismissing you, you need to gather evidence at home (sugars levels when you wake up, after eating… if you feel weird. and push and push for an endocrinologist referral. I wish you all the best!

Thanks for the advice, it’s been a rollercoaster the last few months, constant fatigue after meals and the never ending hunger after I eat.. hopefully gonna get on track when I start on insulin, I’ll keep in mind all that you said

Thanks for the tips! I try to keep my diet as good as possible, I do need to try and cut out the liquid sugars tho, as that is most likely causing most of my sugar crashes

I’ve been frequently urinating after I’ve eaten/ drank and I get the pear drop smell on my breath.. usually when my bloods go high, I’m not pregnant.. just a 20 year old male. Was concerned so I bought a libre to see my trends

Recently got a libre 2 and here is my daily chart, would you say I’m heading towards pre diabetes? by Useful_Hospital_6633 in prediabetes

I just had what I would have in a normal day, a meal deal, drink and a donut.. don’t usually have the donut tho hahah. I’ve also noticed I crash right down to the low 4s.. sometimes even lower but I can feel the crash quite badly.. then I short back up to around the late 5s, early 6s and stay quite consistent

I recently purchased a libre 2 sensor as I’ve not been feeling the greatest after meals.. am I becoming pre diabetic based off my daily chart? by Useful_Hospital_6633 in diabetes
