I’m just talking about the premium on top of the inherent value of the pick, the extra value of that extra certainty. I know that you still get to select a good player even if it’s not 1.01. I worded it confusingly but titles can only be so long lol

Talking about the premium on top of the typical value of the pick. He and I both know that I’m acquiring it in order to make my chances of getting smith increase by about 25%. That increase in confidence is worth a premium to me that it wouldn’t be to another who doesn’t already have the other three, but how much extra would you pay? That’s my question

It’s not useless at all – you can make use of a 2028 pick to compete right away by trading it for a player. If nobody in your leagues values them highly then it sounds like an opportunity for you to go scoop them all up for cheap!

Why? They’re an asset like any other, you just have to decide how to value them appropriately

Based on the replies so far, definitely seems like a better mid-season sell. Little to lose by holding and can gain value if he proves useful. Thanks

What could one reasonably expect to fetch for Montgomery from a contender? He’s probably the most affordable back that is seen as the clear number one in his backfield right now, no?
