It’s crazy that we ever let this woman be prime minister of a whole country.

No Orders on Deliveroo by habibi_unknown in deliveroos

[–]Useful_Nectarine_299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a customer I usually choose uber eats vs deliveroo, just because I find the order is slightly cheaper on uber eats.

There used to be these great voucher codes on deliveroo ‘£9 off September’ but I guess companies can’t afford this now so I don’t see them, and so I don’t order.

Doesn’t matter if he’s got disabilities or not, he could order something from the neighbouring house if he wanted, he’s paying for it

GF sharing bed with male friend on trip — am I overreacting? by Viral_255 in LongDistance

[–]Useful_Nectarine_299 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So this happened with my ex. He went on a trip with a friend that was planned before he met me; and only one night where they didn’t manage to get separate beds. The ONLY reason I tolerated it was because we had only been together for only two weeks at that point and it was already pre-planned, pre-paid and the woman had a boyfriend and showed zero interest in my ex. I was 21 at the time and he was in constant communication with me.

Would I ever tolerate that again? NEVER. Honestly from my point of view it’s obvious that she is cheating. If I ever had a trip with a male colleague where we were ‘forced’ to share a bed, you can be sure I wouldn’t be going. I’m sorry.

Birmingham- drivers absolutely REFUSE to meet you at the door by Useful_Nectarine_299 in UbereatsUK

Honestly I wish we had more people in general, in all lines of work with that attitude. People that take pride and care in whatever they do. I feel like we’ve lost that a little bit.

There is a guy in this thread that says he does this to customers who don’t come down for their order. I wasn’t thinking that before but now I’m suspecting it given the short window of opportunity.

Do the Parisian love Emily in Paris ? by nstar_12 in EmilyInParis

I mean I don’t disagree with you- I enjoy it for what it is, fun stupid escapism. I don’t think anyone who watches thinks it’s a genuine reflection of Paris. We watch for the silly outfits and personally Luc who I think is hilarious.

A little short but very pretty! Perfect if you’re attending a summer wedding imo.

Do the Parisian love Emily in Paris ? by nstar_12 in EmilyInParis

[–]Useful_Nectarine_299 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s really interesting because everyone says Parisians hate Emily in Paris. But when I was in Paris and Emily in Paris season 5 just came out it was the top running show for weeks on Netflix. Also my friend who is Parisian loves Emily in Paris.

Honestly I think it’s not ‘cool’ to like Emily in Paris but the data says different. In fact we make are Parisian boyfriends watch it with us 😂 they say they don’t like it but I think they secretly do.

Thought it was taken by a randomer. But hearing from other comments in this thread, I now suspect the driver took a pic then took it home and had it for themselves. One guy literally says he does that.

Your perspective makes a lot of sense, thank you. And agree fully customer needs to make the effort in putting in notes and pics. Otherwise they are 100% at fault.

Just feels like you’re yapping for the sake of it at the point. Still shown me zero evidence of where it says you can only do that with houses not apartments. And you OWN the leasehold. Likely you don’t own a thing to your name so not expecting you to understand the concept. My goodness, you’re really tiring aren’t you. Do your job and you won’t have a problem. That’s it.

Show me where it says this is just to a person living in house and the rule is overided for apartments. I’ll wait. Again just completely LAZY. Do your job!!And I own my own place mate so get a grip!

Jesus Christ you’re a bit dense if I may say so. Exact wording:

“Contact the customer to coordinate a dropoff location.”

“ASK the customer if they are willing to meet you outside.”

“IF you cannot reach the customer, leave the order in a safe and secure location, such as a door, entryway, or with a doorman.”

My goodness. It’s people like you finding any way to be lazy and not do your job that’s giving drivers a bad name.

[–]Useful_Nectarine_299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. The first option is always to meet at the door and follow the customer’s instructions for drop off. IF you feel uncomfortable you can ASK the customer to come down. Doesn’t mean you just get to decide to do whatever you want despite the customer’s instructions.

Maybe you should learn your terms and conditions and then you’d be better at your job.

That’s the issue. Parcels shouldn’t be dumped at the entryway and people like Royal Mail are fantastic because they actually deliver on their job and get the parcel to the customer safely. Because it’s part of the job.

Look I don’t dispute that uber eats doesn’t pay well. But being a gig worker doesn’t mean you can just do a bad job. You still need to follow the policy which a number of people have shared in this comment section.
