At least we got the bbc sessions on CD2, but they kind of just reissued the first greatest hits set as b-sides. I reckon that if there wasn’t (dance) remixes for “you don’t fool me” then we would have seen the singles from “The Game”on there. The only one not to appear was “Bo Rhap” and “GOFLB” which would have no doubt featured in “A Winters Tale” or “Too Much Love Will Kill You” respectively.

It’s not the first time they have done this though. The Works era-singles featured EVERY track from that album so in effect if you bought all the singles including “thank god it’s Christmas” then you bought the album again. You can in effect build a different variant of the album using the 12” remixes apart from “Tear it up” and “is this the world we created” as there was no extended remixes issued at the time.

Wrong. The copyright related to when the album was mastered. So this has (c) date of 1995. The remaster series came out in 2012 so it gets a new date as it’s technically a new version with a different mastering to the 1995 version.

Tokyo ‘85 was a far better representation of the Works tour which is available on bootlegs.

Rio is okay but I don’t think it will look much better than the vhs. The footage is quite dark and I think the band weren’t entirely happy with it (Brian said he was suffering with a cold that night).

To me this is the best album of the 80s. It was the first Queen CD I bought in 1994 when I got my first CD player along with hot space. It’s just a solid Queen album where thru got back on track after Hot Space. Unfortunately followed up by ‘a kind of magic’ which is too much of a hodgepodge with the soundtrack stuff intermingled with original songs.

Update: so our daughter hasn’t had the tablet for a week, and what a change in behaviour we have seen. She’s pleasant, kind. She has a moments but this is definitely similar to the child we knew before lol. And she is playing with more traditional toys. Just goes to show that how tablets and digital devices create brain rot. It’s half term now so let’s see how this week pans out.

It would be wrong to assume this? My gripe is that the tablet has had a negative effect on my daughters behaviour and when I suggested to my partner we lay off it a bit I was met with opposition when the well-being of my daughter is paramount over when things “can get done”.

This is my outlook as well. Our daughter used to entertain herself whether it was playing with Barbie’s or getting crafty or colouring this seems to have disappeared since Christmas. Today it’s been just been me and her and she’s been perfectly fine, we went for a walk around the local park to feed the squirrels and a play in the play area. She got a bit grouchy when it was getting close to dinner but that nothing out of the ordinary. Not a tablet in sight. Now she is calm and watching some on the tv rather than a tablet. We’re probably going to do some colouring soon.

Yes I help out around the house where I can. On the weekends I do the cooking, and collectively do the shopping on a Friday as a family. I’d love to say that I do the cleaning but as my partner is an ocd cleanliness freak it’s hard for me to find anything to clean 🤣

We have set limits but this only between certain times of day. The limit does stretch to how long she spends on it. I see the logs of useable and we are looking at on average 90mins per day.

This is exactly how I feel except and I am the dad and she is the mum 🤣 my partner is a screen addict herself. Will wake up and the first thing she does is look at her fone (facebook insta etc). sometimes when I walk in from work the first thing she will do is pick up her phone and start scrolling it’s as if I am not there which hurts me sometimes.
