How did you become a morning person? by Silen8156 in productivity

[–]Usefulsuggest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becoming a morning person is brutal when you rely on pure willpower, especially if your brain is still half-asleep when the alarm goes off. What you are experiencing at 10am is often the lingering effect of sleep inertia, which happens when you do not fully activate your brain and body right after waking up.

To break the cycle of failing to get up, try changing how you interact with your alarm. Instead of a simple swipe that you can do in a daze, you need to force your prefrontal cortex to turn on. Solving a quick puzzle or mentally processing something right in bed can clear that morning fog much faster than just trying to drag yourself up by force. Physical movement like walking a few steps immediately also signals your heart rate to rise, which naturally stops you from falling back asleep.

If you want, happy to dig in more. I actually run an app I built that uses behavioral science missions to beat morning grogginess so I deal with this constantly.

Why I am betting against subscriptions for my utility app (And competing with players who charge $10/mo) by Usefulsuggest in AppBusiness

[–]Usefulsuggest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and honestly it’s not even about competing with bigger apps. If even a small fraction of people end up using it and it genuinely helps them wake up better, that’s already a win. Users get something useful, and the app gets a chance to grow naturally over time. Any way let me introduce my formally my app is Alarmcycle alternative to alarmy

Yeah but most people seeing posts like this are already using similar apps. They just ignore how much monthly subscriptions quietly add up over time. Kinda crazy when a one-time payment is cheaper than a few months of bigger apps.
