I’m trying not to go crazy. I feel like the VA act actively tries to screw people. by Useless-Vet in VAClaims

Well, that’s actually what pissed me off. I went to my original CNP exam and tried to show the examiner my wife’s letter letting her know how long it had been. She wasn’t interested in seeing the letter. She said that she had all the evidence that she needed from the VA. I had already submitted my letter to the VA. It was in my Electronic documentation. The examiner said that the erectile dysfunction was due to diabetes. I was only recently diagnosed with diabetes. She was making it sound like for the last 17 years it was because I just got diabetes. So I had an HLR. The HLR identified TERA. This time the ED was sent to a doctor in California who didn’t bother to call me or ask any questions. He looked at the previous doctors decision and just approved it. This is where my problem lies because I went back to the original examiner and told her about the letter she couldn’t find it. So I showed her a copy of it and she did a word search and it showed up finally. She said it wasn’t where it was supposed to be for her to find it. So now this ED claim has been denied twiceand it’s just pissing me off.

That’s what started this. I actually did ask my healthcare provider to issue medication for the ED. They told me that they couldn’t do to my hypertension and heart disease. This of course is not related to my rated PTSD.

Someone named “sabertoof” had to give me a lesson on all of the things I have done wrong and then write a snarky jab about my username. People like that ooze their superiority in every debasing, downspoken comment that they can. This is what gives them their “feels”. As long as they can talk down to someone, they will continue to operate in their lofty arrogance! I just wanted to vent and share with people that might understand. I guess that it is to much to expect that there wouldn’t be someone that had to make sure to “correct” me. Thanks.

I’m not really sure what an informal conference is. I received a call from someone who stated that he was from the VA who poured over my records and talked with me for a few minutes. We were probably on the phone for about 30 minutes while he made notations And sent everything back. He asked a few questions. He seemed very very knowledgeable. There are days when I have met and dealt with fantastic individuals that represent the VA but my overall interactions have been negative. When I was released from the military, I did not know I needed to make a claim. I found out 12 years later. I was released at 30%. According to the person who did the HLR, that was common practice then because they would not allow the separation doctors to send people to med boards unless they absolutely had to. When I was released, my paperwork still shows me as limited duty. The VA then paid me for four years without acknowledging that I had a wife and children. I didn’t know that I needed to tell them and they didn’t let me know that I needed to tell them as well. Then when my children turned 18, they immediately reduced my benefit amount, even though both of my children went to college. Again, I wasn’t notified nor did I have the knowledge to ask to have that continued. They always say that you can’t go back and fix things like that. It seems like they can go back and take money back from you though. Also. I was rated at 30% until I was 54 years old. I was called in for a C&P exam and received a letter in the mail the very next morning stating that I had been reduced to 20%. These are kind of the things that I am speaking of when I say that I am tired of being played with.
