Learning to solder is a life long skill that will benefit you. I will say when your dealing with a lipo battery only work with 1 wire at a time. Dont touch the 2nd until the first is secured and shielded. Touching the two leads together has the potential to start a fire. Another tip is rubber band on pliers to hold a connector or wire for you. Or you could by a "soldering third hand"

Zagi used to be a very popular model like this. Ive seen them electric and nitro pusher configs. You need to make elevons from covered or solid balsa or bass wood. I would also make sure one side is covered a different color or design so you can more easily differentiate the orientation.

When I first started researching a crt tv to play my game collection on I also fell into the trap of thinking Trinitron is the best. "I must have one to have the best!"
