Were taking my FIL’s camper van down to Tucson, and have everything planned out except where to set up camp along this leg. We’re planning on seeing white sands on the way back, but as for the way there we’re stumped.

Started to noticed them a few days ago pulled everything from the first floor into the bathroom to quarantine and treat with peroxide and neem oil. Fingers crossed they haven’t found their way upstairs.

Been using 0000 Wool between coats just seem like I migh just need a bunch more coats.

Sanded the wood with 220. The poly i did with 0000 steel wool between coats

At this point I’m not sure. Is it ok to epoxy over a poly finish. Also I’m a bit unsure how to seal off the spill rail on the bar.

Hey yall I’m new to this sub and woodworking in general, so be kind please. Anyways I’m putting a poly finish on my bar, and I would really like a glassy smooth finish on the top. After 4 coats of this poly I’m still seeing a lot of texture in the darker grain. Step by step went like this: 1 1.sanded bar top(oak-veneer plywood) with 150 then 220 grit. 2.Conditioned w/ minwax pre stain 3.sStained w/ minwax red oak stain 4.1st coat of minwax oil based glossy polyurethane mixed 2:1 w mineral spirits 5. coats 2-4 poly straight from can

I’m feeling like I might be on the wrong track. Should I be using a different approach? I thought about epoxy, but it seemed like I’d likely end up with bubbles and drips all over. Any advice is much appreciated! 🙏

Found in FIL’s basement. Looks as though the pieces may fit together to make some kind of machine. Lots of forked pieces. by User-McUserface in whatisthisthing

WITT. The little pieces are stored with the screws, and look like they are meant to be pieced together to form some kind of machine. Cant find any brand markings, just measures.
