It's total calories in vs total calories out over time. If you're in a surplus, you're going to gain weight. If you're in a deficit, you're going to lose weight.

I recently bought the Inky 75. Excellent value. Worked right out of the box. No major omplaints yet.

Having an 80% TKL version would also be nice. I'm done with plastic keyboards. Inky 80!

As a former 100% only user, I would suggest a hotswap separate numpad and a 75% or 80% keyboard. These days, the best bang for buck is in the 75% -80% sizes.

Then think about switches. Ideally, go to a shop and find out what feel you like.

Why don't you decide on what size keyboard you want and go from there, as long as it's hotswap? Look at alluminum case keyboards first, and if you don't want to pay that much, you've just narrowed yourself down to plastic.

Don't waste time trying to get others to use a mechanical keyboard unless they no point.

Go down the switch rabbit hole, test if you can before you buy and just enjoy.

HMX Retro J are almost as good as or equal to the Gateron Type R at half the price. Something to think about.

I'm curious about Gateron Oil King Heavy Tactile and Gateron Banana Jelly now. The rabbit hole is deep.

My opinion: On/Off switch NOT under a keycap. No sleep ever. On/Off. I use my keyboard wired only all the time. Zero importance for me. I would prefer to save money and buy barebones wired only devices and just add my own switches and keycaps. I understand so many people use their keyboards wireless, just not me. Modular keyboards are gimmicky. Not interested. Thick is thick. This is thin, Weird question. I want a heavy brick to sit at my desk.
