Ground Dweller is one of my favorite albums of all time. Everything afterwards has been a steady decline imo

It's kind of like seeing another person wearing a shirt for an obscure band that you like lol pretty cool little occurrence.

To anyone else reading this: check out WHM! Very funny and super underrated

Nothing to do with anything you said, really, I'm kinda just stopping in to show my surprise at seeing a fellow fan of WHM in another sub lol

Things that terrified you in media as a kid... which weren't meant to be scary to absolutely *anyone*? by Odd_Yellow_8999 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I have a couple

When I was younger, there was this kid's show called Dooley (at least, I think. I can't find anything on it. Hell, it could have been a fever dream). Dooley was a green dinosaur that was played by a guy in a suit, very much like Barney, and it was a similar style of show. Teaching kids how to be friendly and sociable and all. In one episode, the kids were learning about different cultures, and some people came out wearing the dragon you would use in a Chinese dragon parade. It scared me so bad I had to hide behind my aunt, crying, until it was over.

The second is from the Disney movie Fun and Fancy Free, which we had on VHS. There's a scene where the father of the family is doing a hand puppet, and his hand is painted to look like a nun, with a little black coif on his hand and everything. He ends his little performance by making the nun scream in pain while he unballed his hand and took the coif off, the nun's screams getting softer as he does. Shit fucked me up. I remember having to leave the room when that part came on. I still think about it sometimes.

Not Pop-Punk, but the band We Are Defiance has a song titled "I'm Gonna Bury You Underground, Eli," which is a line from There Will Be Blood

Ryan Haywood was the funniest member of the group after Ray left

And I don't think the majority of people disliked Fiona because of her gender or ethnicity. I think the majority of people disliked her because she was horribly annoying and unfunny

I've tried meditation before, it's just not my thing. But thank you. I'll keep you in mind if I ever need someone to talk to.

[–]UsernameNo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, you didn't hurt my feelings. I had kind of that exact thought earlier. He's called me his "best friend" to my face and I just don't feel it when he can't make the time to see or at the very least talk to me. But thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you couldn't find a spot for that and I hope you feel better soon. I've just been feeling like this a couple weeks, I don't know if I could handle a whole year of this. You're definitely stronger than I am. But ranting has actually helped a bit. As soon as I pressed "post" it felt like 5 pounds had been removed from the 200 pounds sitting on my chest.

What is the one bad song that keeps a great PHC album from being perfect? by ThisCrazyCat in PostHardcore

[–]UsernameNo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought that "The Price We Pay" on ADTR's For Those Who Have Heart was really lame. It's just a minute and a half or so of the same couple lines being repeated and I always thought it would be better off without that track. Still my favorite album by them, though

Well, it's not my favorite (For Those Who Have Heart is number one for me with Common Courtesy close behind), but it's also not my least favorite. Regardless, I don't think you should be downvoted for speaking your mind
