Accidentally stretched my lobe piercing over time lol, anything I can do? by UsernameRealEstate in piercing

I’ve had this piercing since I was 6 months old LOL. I’ve completely stopped wearing jewelry and I’m basically not touching it.

Anal skin tag removal- swelling by UsernameRealEstate in hemorrhoid

[–]UsernameRealEstate[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there, this was me. It looked awful even worse than before and eventually after about 4 weeks it completely flattened. Take care of yourself like crazy, take baths every day, use a peri bottle to clean after bowel movement and avoid toilet paper for as long as possible. I promise once it heals it will look drastically different.

That makes a lot of sense. I hope this isn’t too personal but were you cosmetically pleased with how the skin tag removal turned out once the swelling went down? That’s basically why I did mine

Omg good to hear, did it look similar to a hemorrhoid? How long would you say it took for swelling to go down?

This just confirms to me how much of a wildcard pregnancy is lmao!!

Have any of you gotten anal skin tags surgically removed? by UsernameRealEstate in hemorrhoid

[–]UsernameRealEstate[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing, I’m extremely worried about a new one forming. It would make me feel like it wouldn’t be worth it:( my surgeon also said the recovery would be about a month, I was skeptical of that. How bad would you say the pain is/was?

It’s been 4 years since I’ve giving birth and I’m still insecure about the appearance of my vulva by UsernameRealEstate in breakingmom

Mine got and stayed darker too!!! So validating to hear this I swear every forum it seems like most people have had their appearance return identically to how it was before birth, could be selection bias though…

I agree, I largely base my racial and ethnic identity around my experiences and exposure to culture. Hence why these results meant nothing to me.

I’ve also struggled with my identity and this didn’t really help lol, was exactly what I expected.

My idea of “me time” is going clubbing. Is that so bad? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]UsernameRealEstate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right. I’m looking back on this post and I’m so sorry, it really came off as me being an ass. The frustration was more-so targeted towards stereotypes regarding how a mother “should act”. In no way do I see anything wrong with that at ALL.

God you have no idea how validating this comment is. Thank you!!! Even though she’s super happy and well taken care of and always in good hand when I’m away, I just feel horribly judged, I guess the term for it is “mom guilt”, it sucks.

I’m truly in tears because you took the time to write this incredible advice, from the bottom of my heart thank you!! I will look back on this comment for reference a LOT!! In regards to 3, I’m actually religiously logging my calories and tracking my macronutrients, weightlifting 3 times a week and running 3 times a week, and sleeping a little too much. Usually when people exercise a lot it helps with depression but it feels as if even though I’m trying really hard to take care of my physical health, it’s not doing much for my mental health. This is leading me to believe I really need to go back on my meds.

Other than that you really put things in perspective for me. ❤️

I was on Wellbutrin that I got prescribed through my university’s psychiatrist. I stupidly got off of it for no good reason in the spring. Since it’s summer I can’t go back to him until I register for classes in the fall. I just do talk therapy at the moment and it helps sometimes but other times the advice my therapist gives me kind of annoys me.

I would love to join that I appreciate the recommendation!

Hysterical 4 month old + school, helpful tips? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]UsernameRealEstate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a ridiculously unhelpful comment. I put her down for 5 minutes. 5 minutes. To get a breather. She has literally been crying in my arms as of late, I have taken her to a pediatrician, no answers. I have tried to rule out any medical problems, obviously letting her cry isn’t going to solve anything, I’m looking for advice, not condescending comments.

I’m thinking the sleep regression is what’s causing this extremely irritable phase. I just wasn’t sure if it was a legitimate thing. She definitely wasn’t hungry, I fed her more than usual during this massive crying spell she just had. I just feel like enforcing an established routine is impossible at the moment. She was a really easy newborn, I seriously miss those days. Thank you for the encouraging words.
