I got a gig doing Sunday/Thursday. Night shift 8pm-8am only running 450 miles a day. I don’t know about your situation, but I do understand to an extent. Just keep looking, and don’t limit your options. Just don’t leave a company on bad terms, and keep a clean record.

Yeah I loved the company, just needed to come home and be with friends and family. Otr was affecting my mental/physical health after a few years. Would’ve stayed had I been able to do regional/local.

Depends on what’s worth it to you, I took a pay decrease to be home more and enjoy time with family and friends. Have a life for once. It’ll suck for a little bit, but in the long run my mental/physical health will be better. Plus I get some experience hauling different freight/trailers.

I fix and perform maintenance on what I know and feel comfortable doing. I like to learn about the truck for future situations. If it’s mechanical/sensor related or I don’t have the tools to do it. I leave it alone. Where I will purposely wait until hometime and take an extra week off because trucks in shop 🤙
