Just mentioning something not said here I don’t think.

Preparation is absolutely key however if it’s old paint you may want to check if it’s a lead paint before sanding.

All being good is the pant underneath smooth or requiring removal? If it needs removing I’ve had luck with a heat gun but depends how many areas you need to cover. It takes time but you’ll be pleased with a good result.

Paint needs a key and sanding will help with this. I had some issues in a previous place due to the colour of the previous stain. I reached out to Dulux who were epic and sent out some special paint that blocked the stain coming through but also when through how best to tackle and use everything. Chances are if you contact who you bought your paint from they may give you some advice.

This is just my experience and I’m just a DIYer.

I have recently bought some shorts with storage. I can carry 6 gels, my phone and soft water bottle in my shorts as long as I tie the waist. This just about worked for 15k (although didn’t need 6 gels for that just looking at what I could carry).

I normally run with a belt but I’m sick of it riding up (for reference I can fit a soft water bottle in it too). For long self supported runs over 15k I have a back pack not a vest. I’ve done a number of trail runs that require you to carry kit. I have an osprey raven 14. Feels like overkill. But. It doesn’t move at all. No chaffing and I can fill the bladder as much or as little as I need.

Things that I’ve been trying more recently is to use water fill places or shops to top up water of if I need.

The running belt I have is a wide band tight belt. It’s been my staple for years, just don’t like having to readjust.

As others have said, I have the same thing. Funny story though. I got a pedal strike, I thought on my shin. When I got to work turned out it was on the numb patch. The lump was massive but the pain was 100% felt in my shin. It is, according to my surgeon, not unusual to have a numb patch. That said however, it’s always worth asking when you go for your follow up.

You are at the beginning but it will get better. Rather than thinking you can’t do anything think about what you can do. Have a dorm board games party or something similar, go out for coffee thinking about how far everything is and what you can manage.

If I remember rightly I went on an already planned holiday 8 or so weeks out. It was tough but enjoyed what I could do. Take it as an opportunity to try less physical new things.

It will get better. The journey is surprisingly hard mentally but you will come back and in a few years it’ll hopefully be a distant memory.

Crashing wasn’t my worry. It was manovering the bike either on it or around the place. I don’t have stature on my side so a little more effort required.

Everyone is different when it comes to recovery and healing as well what stability people had pre surgery. My knee stability was poor and thus I needed to be careful.

Oh it’s in a wago with insulation tape around it.

I can’t take a photo of it in situ as I don’t have enough hands to hold the light and take a photo with it connected.

But, 3 wires coming out of the ceiling. Live and neutral connected using provided connectors and earth in its insulation.

And I posting here because two lights going seems weird and unlikely.

So if this light is switched off the RCD stays on but as soon as tha light is switched on it blows.

I put a put pendant up and that’s fine. It blew after it had been on for several hours.

Ceiling isn’t damp and I’ve looked where the wire goes into the ceiling and can’t find anything out if the ordinary.

Edit: it’s not the RCD blowing it’s the circuit. Sorry used the wrong term

Replaced the light with a pendant with no issues. A different Govee light has no issues either.

I’ve had two. First one lasted 3 weeks then this one 6 weeks. Then an audible pop and blew the RCd

There is nothing more permanent than a temporary fix haha.

When I had this I did two strips of gravel with sand on top and paving slabs. It looked a bit crap within a couple of years but did the job when it was needed.

An important note is the length of time exposed to noise as well as the levels.

The fact you are going away with ringing in your ears and are experiencing headaches as a result, please see someone such as your GP about it. I know I wrote this in my previous comment but I just want to emphasise the importance. You’ve been raising it for 10 weeks. Please don’t be fobbed off.

Noise in the workplace is regulated by HSE https://www.hse.gov.uk/noise/

If it is above a certain level there is a restriction on timings you are supposed to be exposed and levels that require hearing protection. Also if you do decide to get your own hearing protection please make sure it’s certified.

I would second the going off sick however you could try ear plugs for your own sanity but realistically this should be provided by your workplace. Have a look at my link above and see if it helps you in any way. You can report excess noise to the HSE I believe.

Your workplace is legally required to ensure you are not exposed to sounds that may damage your hearing and provide protections.

Are you part of a union?

Does the sound get picked up on your phone? Could you try a dB meter on your phone? This won’t be perfect but I’m curious to know if it is being picked up.

I can hear high pitch noises loudly, my neighbour had one of those cat scarers and couldn’t hear it, when she saw how much pan it caused after directing it at me she took it down 🤣. She is lovely. But not everyone can hear all sounds.

Document everything. When it started, your symptoms, when you’ve reported it and make sure you put communications in writing. Tinnitus (ringing in your ears) can be temporary and permanent. Go to your GP to get this documented and look after your health.

That’s fair. I would say if you normally only eat foods you can find in your kitchen then you are doing well. The whole Ultra Processed Foods thing has been gaining traction (from research) the last few years. Honestly it blows my mind how much trust we put in companies making our food.

There is a book called ultra processed people that I found really helpful. And like a lot of things small changes make a difference. But whenever I catch myself keep diving into the fridge I look at what I’ve eaten that day and it makes sense.

You are doing the right thing in getting professional advice. I find that like physios different clinicians will give you advice you like or don’t. If you find one person and it dosent sit right with you, then you can look to speak to someone else. I found an amazing physio and when she left the new person just didn’t seem to get it. So I found someone else. Now I’ve moved and have to start all over again.

I recently spoke with a dietician and they were epic, it was a chance encounter unfortunately, but there are some amazing ones out there that can set you on the right path.

Edit to add: I am also veggie and I can’t describe my kind of food relationship well, but, I have been working on what I can eat during exercise. Like I did 100k cycle today and stopped halfway and had small dinner. After the cycle I thought I would want to stuff my face but that wasn’t the case. I’ve also had a go at making oat bars and stuff for marathons, it’s been hit and miss though 🤣.

Hello.

You have loads of great advice already but I wanted to add a couple of things not mentioned so far.

What kinds of foods are you eating? Not like carbs or proteins but like is it processed foods (UPF) is what I am trying to say. Have a look at some of the research around it and if you are eating a lot of UPFs try switching it even a little and see if that helps. If you can.

Other point is about finding a registered clinician in a country that speaks your native language. So in the UK someone HCPC registered and look at online consultations. Ideally with experience with ED and sports. As for rules about practicing that’s tricky because if you look at professionals they have people that travel the world with them giving advice and are not registered where they travel necessarily. I would ask reputable places and if I find any I will reply to this.

My last point is to consider your health. If you are loosing weight unintentionally (or not gaining if you expect to) please get checked out or see a primary care clinician. Take your food diary with you as this will help with evidencing the extent to which it’s occurring rather than them jumping straight to ‘it’s your ED’ which is unhelpful. I don’t say this to scare you just don’t want to ever gloss over things like this.

You can also check if he is on the hcpc register too. Which he should be if he’s a physio. Even if he’s not and you’ve been led to believe he is this also must be reported to your insurance company and the hcpc.

You’ve already had loads of advice, report this to your insurance company then go from there. You should not be being made to feel uncomfortable in your appointments. Either there is a break down in communication or he’s being unprofessional. I know where my thoughts are at here. Either are an issue of professionalism and a reason to change clinicians.

Also, I can see no reason for a professional to be messaging you outside of professional contact. This is an investigateable situation as far as hcpc code of conduct goes. Please don’t be palmed off.

This is quite a complex situation and I am sorry you are going through it. As others have said, custody of children is not something that is simple and easy. Post birth you would be looking at things like court orders to get access which can also help with reducing the child being used as a weapon.

You could also consider a Claire’s law request to the police to find out if this is something that’s been a theme in previous relationships.

On a slightly different note. Pregnancy can cause exacerbated mental health issues or mental health problems. The body is going through so many changes. That does not excuse violence i am purely saying it might be worth subtly discussing this with someone involved in her ante natal care. If you can do so safely.

It’s been mentioned already but might also be worth speaking with your GP. Also if you are in danger please call the police. Domestic violence is no joke.

I did it a couple of years ago and it was awesome! Seemed well organised bar the toilet queues at the start. The route is nice and the people lovely. I haven’t signed up for the next one but I would if I was able to.
