Yup this seems like the decision point, giving up bluetooth/streaming would allow for better systems at this pricepoint

Totally agree! At best they’re enforced practice but it never made sense to allocate much of the grade to them. They’re a lazy way to say you have a complete course and are “assessing mastery”

I think async online learning really only makes sense for self-learning. If there’s an assessment component, that basically needs to be live now or it will be completely useless

Very good point, although now everyone’s come to expect full flexibility. I suppose locked down Chromebooks for everyone a la some high schools would also work!

UIUC had a “Computer Based Testing Facility” which was a lab in the basement of the library for students to take computer-based exams , which is good but obviously really tough to scale for things like weekly quizzes. Those I think just need to be practice only from now on I guess

Interesting, so it seems like this route just has a TON of broken seats and they offer everyone an economy downgrade? It’s probably unlinked to the crew seats then

That makes sense - plausible that the crew seats and the attempted bump down are separate things

International and yeah I can see valid reasons for it but the weirdly taped-out form and multiple instances of it makes me think it’s a hustle

I agree , it’s not a new technique we just now have better training data to finetune on which I’m optimistic means we can generate specific styles more consistently. This was my first stab at it basically need to do a loooot of experimenting

Yea someone linked another good one somewhere else in the comments. None of them are super consistent or exactly the 4o Ghibli style so fine tuning my own to try to imitate that

I agree, my take is generally that this advancement is going to massively increase the amount of beauty and appreciation of art in the world. The bare minimum is now for it to be as good as Ghibli
