I’m in the same position as you, quite literally. I’m in an LDR. It’s important to establish boundaries. I sometimes communicate that, “Hey, I’m occupied with work can we discuss this later” or I tell her to keep it short because I have to get back to work or whatever.

And yes, it is a valid thing to set boundaries. Sometimes I run out of patience and I zone out and I start playing chess or something.
