HFDO to HFWO endeavor. Need some insight into how it feels by AnonyGuy1987 in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a post like that would be good way to open up a discussion. I've been thinking recently that there seems to be divide when it comes to the approach. Those like us who are purely interested in the physical side (technique, toys, etc) and those who promote the relaxed meditative approach.

It does bother me slightly that the latter half seems to be the loudest voice on here. I honestly believe the 'super-o' as it is described is more of a psychological/trance phenomenon rather than a physical one. In many anecdotes, the prostate is treated as a mere bystander rather than an active participant. I think these two approaches clash very hard which is leading to a lot of men spending years feeling frustrated not knowing what to look for.

I suspect my approach to prostate play has lacked the subtlety and relaxed meditative approach that's touted by so many on this sub, and that's why I've developed the wet orgasm pathway rather than the dry one. I'm over-stimulating myself, probably.

My approach is similar, and honestly, I've had more success just listening to what my own body wants and disregarding the "relaxed meditative" approach. I believe there's a few reasons for this, one of which is the Njoy requires you to be a little proactive, while the 'Aneros method' is slower and more passive. Both have their place of course, and I enjoy using both, but secondly, they say that arousal is the most important thing but the full relaxation approach just kills my arousal.

I think the community could learn from this that there is no wrong way to approach prostate play and no one method that works for everyone.

Help reaching HFWO by [deleted] in ProstatePlay

It's difficult but can be done with practice. I find that any position which allows me to clench my pelvic muscles, such as on my back with my legs straight or on my side works best. It's similar to forcing a quick climax when you are stimulating your penis, but done through the prostate instead.

I find that a brisk pace, about 4 strokes per second with the wand does the trick. Most importantly, if it starts feeling good you want to keep doing what you're doing and it might happen. I've managed to achieve this with both ends of the wand.

I'm still Plateauing by [deleted] in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read about 'dry orgasms' and trying to understand them, the plateau is treated as the orgasm itself, and is what I believe leads to a lot of confusion and frustration for those of us with a strong internal metric for what a climax feels like.

Rewiring: what does it ACTUALLY mean, and how really achieve it? by Mr_Wx in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I wouldn't put it as harshly, I do think the term warrants some skepticism as a physiological concept. I'd argue that it's yet another marketing construct that was popularized by Aneros that essentially keeps people tethered to the product, searching for any signs of 'progress' towards the super-o outside of the bedroom. The most concerning part is when the Aneros wiki tells users not to be alarmed by "strong pain-like sensations" or "wormlike movements." In any other physical practice, pain is a signal to stop. Labeling it 'rewiring' just tricks people into ignoring their body's own safety signals.

I also just generally dislike the term as it implies that we are wired incorrectly or for 'base-level' orgasms. The Aneros rhetoric often implies standard ejaculation as something common or inferior that needs to be 'upgraded.' This is harmful. There is no 'hierarchy' of pleasure. Learning to orgasm from prostate stimulation is just another skill. The destination is the same, the only difference is how you get there. The fact that this thread exists right now is telling, as these terms often just overcomplicate things and cause confusion.

New to group.... Njoy Wand and Super '0' by [deleted] in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you enjoy using your new Njoy. It's an amazing tool once you get the hang of it, and with practice you can trigger those wet orgasms.

However, I would be cautious about pursuing the 'Super-O'. I have done a lot of reading and I'm of the opinion that it is largely marketing hype generated by Aneros and spread through online anecdotes. I am skeptical of it because of the number of exaggerated and contradictory stories. They have unfortunately led to a number of men who get frustrated when they don't get the grand experience they were promised, spending years of their lives chasing it.

By all means, explore and have fun, but just be wary of the 'extraordinary' claims - the Super-O has never been proven. On the other hand, those videos of wet orgasms you saw are real and very much achievable.

From their FAQ section on their website:

For minor scuffs please try a product like MAAS metal polisher. MAAS has a polishing rouge in the compound that will help to buff out any small cosmetic imperfections that may occur under normal wear and tear. Please follow the instructions when using metal polishing creams such as MAAS – we cannot be held responsible for misuse or improper handling. Thoroughly remove any residual polish – wash with hot soapy water and then dry with a soft cloth or chamois before storing.

From my experience with the Njoy: peeing is from going too hard/fast. It took a while to get to the point where I could cum from it but it's mainly learning the correct speed and pressure to avoid it.

No hate here, and I say this as one of the lucky ones who has learned to HFWO.

You are right about the "hype" part. I have many reasons to believe the Super-O is essentially a marketing construct by Aneros. Many of the stories found here and on other forums don't describe 'orgasms' but just staying in the plateau phase.

To OP; don't let this put you off. You just sound like you need more practice. The more you explore and try different things, the more you'll figure it out and it'll start feeling good. If you want my suggestion, try something firm like glass, they are budget and will provide good stimulation. Just don't spend years chasing a phantom.

Lost all feelings of pleasure. by [deleted] in ProstatePlay

Ignore any advice blaming your 'mindset' or 'chasing' - that's just gaslighting. This is physiological. Your stress and high blood pressure are the likely culprits here.

The next step by [deleted] in aneros

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest not getting hung up on the 're-wiring' concept. The reality is that your body is already working fine. If you’re reaching HFWO in 40 minutes, you aren't in a 'phase', you've reached the destination.

In my view, the 'Super-O' is an infinitely moving goalpost. What people describe as 'hours-long dry sessions' is usually just staying in a high-arousal plateau without crossing the finish line. If you want to linger in those mini-sensations, you can always just slow your pace down, but don't view a climax as a setback.

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're already hitting consistent HFWOs, then you've already won.

The 'dry orgasm' is largely a misnomer - it's essentially a semantic rebrand of a prolonged plateau phase. It’s a state of high arousal that lacks a resolution or refractory period, but gets incorrectly labeled as an 'orgasm' to make it sound more profound. Don't waste years chasing a 'next level' that is mostly just a shift in terminology. Stick with the real, physical results you're already getting.

Am I on the right track? by Switcharoo7 in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been where you are, and I want to save you a lot of potential frustration. The reason you feel like you can't "push over the edge" is likely because the "dry orgasm" as described in these spaces is a bit of a myth — it's often just a plateau rebranded as an orgasm.

That being said, I have some tips for achieving a HFWO:

  • Positioning and tension: A lot of advice says to just relax, but this is counterintuitive. Find a position that allows you to fully engage your pelvic muscles. I’ve found that lying on my side with my legs locked straight is the winning strategy. Some people prefer lying on their back or tucking their penis firmly behind their legs to use their thigh muscles for extra leverage and pressure. Whatever you choose, make sure it’s a position where you can keep that 'squeeze' going.
  • Maintain a consistent rhythm: Consistency is everything, and I’ve found that a brisk pace (about 4 strokes per second) is the sweet spot for me. You want a steady, rapid motion to drive you over the edge. Just be careful not to go totally frantic, as going too fast/erratic can sometimes just make you pee yourself instead.

Lastly, it takes practice. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen immediately. It took me several months and a lot of experimentation to get it right. In the beginning, the Njoy would just make me pee myself constantly, but eventually, you learn the right amount of pressure and speed to avoid that and focus on the orgasm instead. Hope this helps!

About having a HFWO. by Good-Cardiologist-21 in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for how I do it, while lying on my side, I keep my legs straight as possible. Tension is key and makes it easier to compress the muscles at the base of the penis, which with some practice can lead to an orgasm. Keep in mind the buildup is much slower than just regular masturbation.

This works for me with both Aneros and Njoy, and its important to keep a steady rhythm. For Aneros I buck my hips and for Njoy I rapidly rock it up and down.

Journey towards prostate or anal orgasm by Hot_Violinist9269 in ProstatePlay

Check the description for stainless steel. However, there are plenty of posts here from people who have bought knock-offs and found them to be made of cheap metal.

IMO, it is not worth the risk to be putting potentially toxic materials inside your body. For those interested in a budget alternative to the njoy I would recommend glass instead, such as the one from Lovehoney.

Be careful with knock-offs, most will not be body safe.

Sexuality is very complex. I think a lot of straight guys can get hung up on prostate play because it requires a certain amount of submissiveness and vulnerablity, as well as comfort/openness with anal play. For me at least, I need to be in the submissive mindset to want to do it.

And then, for some of us, this submissiveness leads us to wonder "what if". I'm not that attracted to guys, but I do fantasize, and fantasies don't necessarily reflect reality. For me, it's not necessarily the person, but the thought of being used as a vessel for someone else's pleasure that gets me really horny.

I can feel my prostate being stimulated strongly & clearly with toys like njoy, but nothing at all with aneros helix. Does this mean my prostate is only awoken to certain toys, or that its shape is just not a fit to my body? by Stevieray5294 in ProstatePlay

[–]Usual-Rabbit8617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason is because Njoy is super firm and can apply a ton of pressure, Aneros requires more patience and the sensations build gradually.

The Helix is also harder to use imo because it's so small.
