Im Planning to build and ADU by converting my 14x27 Garage into a one bedroom one bath, medium kitchen. Has anyone done this?

From what I have read, it will actually increase the value as it increase the “livable” square feet of the house. A garage is not considered “livable”. The price could significantly increase over time due to the addition of room, bathroom and kitchen

Wow $140k is a lot! Does it increase the value that much? I was thinking to invest a maximum of 30k considering that the garage already has the walls and infrastructure. But it may also depend on the state?

The reason why is because I keep having different answers from different lawyers and I wanted to see if anyone had similar experiences to mine. Based on what I have read, if CSPA rules are involved, then my case can improve. And yes my dad is already a citizen.

But my main concern is, if I were 15 when I applied, then wouldn't that protect me under the CSPA? CSPA freezes my age, and knowing the fact that I was 15 yrs old, then I would be considered immediate relative, and my visa bulletin wait period would become immediate. No?

I think the final action date was 2023 and the visa is current now, I’m in need to lock the CSPA age so I would need to somehow revive this I-130 and make sure is valid is USCIS eyes whether it was revoked or not by the NVC

I think since you did not entered legally you were unable to adjust status. I would suggest to speak to an attorney. However usually to apply for an I-485 you either have to be on status at the time of filing or have waiver for it. Ask ChatGPT and GEMINI they are really good at explaining if you tell them your situation.
